The only reason they ever come up with original shit is because of their budget...if half the groups here had the money they had, I reckon they'd produce something better.

Is it just me, or is finding unique, low budget ways to hurt yourself becoming damn near impossible? This is why I like public pranks a lot more, there's more room for creativity. I dunno, maybe I'm just not trying hard enough.

Are the Jackass guys part of some kind of a writers union or why aren't they allowed to start filming before the strike is over?

That sucks.. This damn writers strike is ruining the few decent things left in hollywood, which really isn't much, they kill all the good shit nowadays before it even takes off, ie: FIREFLY, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, ETC.
Although one would assume that jackass wouldn't exactly have a massive crew of writers...

It's not like they have to craft some continous plotline to tenously link each segment together or anything.

I didnt ask why it was put on hold, but my guess is that coming up with each prank and stunt is done by the members of the group who write em, and if they belong to the guild, this would be going against the strike.

Or perhaps, just out of respect?
