Nah, I see what you mean by them maybe doing it out of respect... Writers get stuff all recognition for their work in hollywood, and coming from a journalistic background, maybe some of the guys in jackass felt a sympathetic pang?

"Watch Steve-O shit on Johnny Knoxville" or "Bam gets butt fucked cause he loses rock paper scissors".
And people are gonna pay 9 bucks to see it.
