Would be strange though, that single sensor camera would have better lowlight filming than multiple sensor cameras. Specially when the sensor is as small as in those little hdv´s.
And I found some comparison pictures from internet and at least hc7 lost to gl2 in lowlight, in my opinion.

There is too many variables. It depends on what kind of light do you get, cheap or pro. It also depends on the subject you are recording. It depends on lots of things, but over all, light is better than no-light in low light situation. You might want to start own thread about camera lights.

the comment says the reviewer over looked an option and once changed it was alot better than the HC3..instead of the other way round.
id go with the guy who owns and knows what hes talking about instead of the lousy reviewer

I´ve also read lots about the 3ccd vs. hdv, that is actually 3ccd vs. cmos, because most of the small hdv cams use cmos instead ccd. The conclusion I´ve come up with, is that one big cmos (1/2.7) would be better than three small ccd´s (1/6)
