As much as people say uni is a waste of time, I don't think that's entirely true. There are obvious benefits from further education, but I do also think that some people (Weak being a prime example) can do just fine on their own; and if that's what they want to, then full props. I wish I was making as much money as he does.
But I reckon uni is just going to be such a fucking good experience, only learning what I actually find interesting, living as far away from home as possible, meeting new people: it sounds cheesy but it's the main reason I'm going for it. Plus like Tom said it'll give me three years to decide what I want to do with the rest of my life, since I haven't got a fucking clue yet.
But if I get the grades, I'm going Cardiff. And speaking of which, I have my orals on Tuesday so I'm supposed to be revising Image file not present in the recovered backup

To get where I want in the tv/film industry, I HAVE to go to uni really. I'd have to be really really lucky to not.
I'm not being stuck in some Asda-like job for the rest of my life.

I was at a uni for half a year then quit. I didn't like schools at all due to they gave me a general education, lot's of stuff that didn't interest me at all. Needless to say I hated learning biology, chemistry, literature, etc.etc. I got a very good computer related education in secondary school (age 14-18). The teacher was a woman, whose husband taught the same material on the technical university. She even told us not to go to uni to learn more of computers, because they wont teach more. What one will get at that uni is tons of extra mathematics, physics.
So I applied for a computer related job, and that's what I do for living. I had colleagues who had a university degree, and they weren't even close to me in the level of knowledge in my field.
As someone else pointed out, university is about if you can force yourself to learn alot of uninteresting stuff, and pass all those exams.
I'm in a similar boat, I self taught myself due to interest about shit and I've got a pretty good job from it.

I'm going to University of Wales Institute Cardiff. It's rated third in the league tables for Sport and Exercise Science which I'll be studying and is really big in the rugby scene too.
