Cite all the articles you want about exaggeration, this has been verified by doctors and scientists the world over. It's been seen in millions of cases.

You obviously completely missed my argument, studies can prove whatever they want. It's just the government blowing issues completely out of proportion. I think pubs should individually chose if they want to allow smoking or not.
I just don't see why you're bitching about it so much, you've never given a shit in the past.
I wasn't targeting you specifically. And in truth, I never actually cared either way to be honest. It was something to do while I downloaded a game demo. But fuck it, even if I never gave a shit in the past, that doesn't really stop me arguing against it.
Bashing you head against a wall, I don't see a single point you've raised I havn't countered,
We're going round in circles. It's boring.
It's not like im being stubborn, im backing up my opinion as best I can, that's an argument.
Lol.
You believe that your opinion is valid, but your only evidence is that smoking affects you
Yeah you're right. The worldwide passive smoking agenda is based on me.
Before this thread, I have never heard you complain about smoking harming you, other than you not liking the smell.
And I'm not going to complain, because for now it's the law that you can smoke in pubs. I'm not gonna complain when nobody's actually breaking the law. I know what to expect in pubs. The argument is whether its right for it to be there.
I don't like the smell of some stuff, but if other choose to wear that smell, say a perfume, I dont pesecute them for it.
How about they come and spray it in your face?
I never blamed it on the weatherman, that's a really childish strop.
It's called a joke. lol.
Passive smoking does cause problems, I said it was over exagerted, and there is no proof that it does cause the problems you so firmly believe.
You're right. Having carbon monoxide going into my lungs will probably work out alright in the end.
And I don't believe sticking to your opinion is selfish, otherwise you are nonethebetter.
You're right. Smoking and damaging others as well as yourself is fine. For ever 4 you smoke, I smoke 1. I should probably be paying you!
Just because other countries pass laws, doesn't mean we have to, in fact different countries have many different laws, so that's not a reason.
I think you'll find your wrong. If even one country passes a law which aims to combat health problems, almost every other western country comes under pressure to pass it too. And because smoking is being demonised so much now there's even more pressure.
I don't take it to an extreme, saying I want to smoke in a pub, thats not extreme, a lot of people feel that and do that at present.
That's not what I meant at all. You're taking this paranoia about the nanny state too far and seeing it in everything. That's what I meant. That's why I talked about the nanny state in the previous sentence.
EDIT: And as for countering my arguments, I've noticed that for the past few posts you've just cut out little bits of my post to talk about. Can you please expand on
- the analogy concerning religion
- why the government would want a smoking ban
- how the smoking ban is like global warming
- why that list was relevant. Keep throwing stupid government reports at me, it makes no difference. We all know what kind of morons work for the government. A lot of those things are really not comparable with tobacco.
- PR guys from tobacco companies can give reports on the dangers of passive smoking outside the ban debate
