How far could North Korea launch a nuclear warhead? North Korea's longest-range missile, the Taepodong-2, has an estimated reach from 3,750 kilometers to 15,000 kilometers (2,325 miles to 9,300 miles). When test fired in July, a Taepodong-2 failed about 40 seconds after launch, landing in the Sea of Japan. North Korea's missile arsenal also includes the Nodong, with an estimated range of 1,300 kilometers (800 miles), and the Scud-C, with a range of 300 kilometers (185 miles).

Based on that map, looks like only mako could survive this guy and that's only if he moved to the south

I think it's fair enough that they test them etc. We have them why can't they? If we're saying other places can't have and use them then we should turn ours in to.

IRAQ - We invade on the basis that Saddam might have WMD's - he doesnt and years later were still there.

N. KOREA - Kim Jong-il openly displays its WMD's - we just chill

If Bush was allowed to run for a 3rd terms, would Americans still be as dumb to once again re-elect him? I honestly think yes, and with that said - I think if Kim Jong-il was to nuke the US it would be a blessing in disguise. On a whole, sympathy aside, we have one fucking dumb population that needs cleansing.

As for the seriousness of this - I wouldnt know but it sorta looks like Kim Jong-il is just doing all this to rub in our governemnts face....and if that is the case...I think thats pretty funny.

But the international community and Congress would never allow Bush to use nukes. I think I know what your insinuation is - that God would tell Bush to nuke the fuck out of some country, hopefully France - and it's totally out of context. I'm with Nuggetto - I'd personally not have the dictator that's starving his people and not allowing any foreign media into his country having access to nukes, thanks.

They dont have hte technology to make warheads small enough to attach to missilies yet. And even if they did, their bullcrap cardboard misilies are worse than the one in the jacakss movie.

We are fine, N Korea can bring the fight to me if they got any beef.

Yes, the only nation that will be able to do anything to stop this mess is China. They're the only ones with the geographic leverage and political influence to do anything. They won't though, they rely on N. Korea too much for trade amongst other things. China's trying to modernize themselves and put themselves in the world as a force in modern times. Having a military trist with N. Korea would do a lot to set them back/harm them. Especially now when they're starting to really come into their own. Don't look for too much to happen. Japan's still pretty secluded, I don't think they'll try to stop them. The U.S. can't afford to piss off another entire region of the world, they won't do anything.

True that, why hasn't there been a world-wide diasarming of nuclear devices? And who's idea was that shit anyway? I blame Einstein and that one German lady, Lohmueller or something like that.

BOOYA

I'd like to see HGV try and discuss important contemporary events. We should have a scholarly competition betwixt us and them, we'd pwn them. We send our best and brightest against there's in a battle of wits and intelligence to decide once and for all which Forum is smarter!

We'd own them.

Exactly, he puts all the funds into the military and leaves the general population to starve. They developed the nuke in a little over a year I'm sure they can fix this missle range system thing in an even shorter amount of time.

It might spark another cold war type of arms race, which could very well lead to another world war..

Yeah, I was wayyyyy off, I was thinking of Lise Meitner. It's her fault. You could probably trace all problems in the world to women.

She was AUSTRIAN! and you cant blame her... its always men who make, create and invent means of terror. I believe you do know she wasnt very keen on being a part of eg. the manhatan project. or similar.

10 October 2006, 18:07 UTC#26
Yeah, I know, and I could have sworn she was German, because she was Jewish and had to flee to the states in like 1940 or something, my bad, it was probably Austria. Then it's Einstein's fault. Or Meitner's partner dude that tried to take all of the credit for splitting the atom/nuclear fission. Either way, Americans didn't do it! Screw you!

Edit- All we're guilty of is killing 214,000 and counting people by using it! It's like saying that it's not the dude who fired the gun who is guilty, it's the dude that made the gun that did it.

Who cares about putting blame man, the deal is it's here and it should be controled, but we (the US) won't ever fucking go along with whatever kind of ban they put on it. "We need to protect ourselves" Fucking bullshit....

And we don't need to be. Thats the problem in the first place, were to damn proud. We think we need to "help" everyone who can't help themselves which gets us into to much shit.
