I don't like McConaughey, but he wasn't as big of a douche in this movie. But Woody Harrelson is cool.

Moon.
Really twisted movie. It was a little too bleak the entire movie to have an ending that worked out like it did. Cool concept, and the visuals were outstanding. They did a really great job of capturing the desolate soul-crushingly lonely aesthetic living on the moon would bring.
But, it also had some weaknesses. Rockwell just couldn't sell to me a lot of the extreme emotions his Sam character was supposed to convey. It gets bonus points for Kevin Spacey's run as Gerty, though.

I really liked it, definitely one of my highlights of 2009 along with Star Trek. Sam Rockwell is really coming into his own as an actor and I haven't been so emotionally engaged in a movie scene in ages like I was with the finale of Moon. I do remember thinking that the voiceovers in the fadeout were unnecessary and a bit forced, it was enough to see the pod shoot off without being explicitly told the outcome.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, it's a film worth seeing. I think I just have a preset bias against Sam Rockwell after G-Force. And in this, something about his face just made me want to punch him. I preferred the version of himself who saved himself from the crash a lot more.

I know you didn't like it, but you seriously can't watch movies like this on a computer. You're easily going to miss 75% of the experience, no wonder you hated it. Comedies and shallow action movies or whatever are alright to watch on a computer because you don't really need to get into a certain state to appreciate them fully. But a movie like Paranormal Activity, where the whole plot relies on subtle sounds and effects, you need to experience with proper audio and on a big screen. Obviously it does help if you believe in that stuff a little like I do because I was still shitting my pants last night when I woke up from a nigthmare haha. But the point is, there are movies that you shouldn't ruin by watching a cam version on a 19'' screen.

I felt that about cloverfield, joe watched a cam version of it on his computer and it must've been the shittiest thing ever. I saw it in the cinema and it was INTENSE.

Yeah I know, each to their own and so on. I know it sounds a little cliche and juvenile, but you get so much more out of horror movies, and especially this one, if you watch them in darkness, late at night and with the perfect sound world and a big screen. Paranormal Activity was genius (exaggerated) in that, that it wasn't filled with scary scenes, but built on the sounds and the events in the house that slowly got more intense. It starts a bit slow, but I'm not really exaggerating too much by saying that I had constant goosebumps from the halfway point to the end. But as I said, I have a wild imagination (probably doesn't come as a surprise lol), and even though I'm pretty rational with most stuff, there is a small space in my brain reserved for the supernatural, so I might get a lot more out of movies like this than the average guy. That's probably why I could sit through most of the boring stuff in Blair Witch, only to get blown away by the very last scene in that movie.
My imagination gives me the ability to get sucked in to a movie and start to imagine it all happening to myself

The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.
The nerdiest documentary I have ever seen and possibly the nerdiest ever made. But I fucking loved watching it, Funny in some parts and frustratingly annoying in others, great ending though. Well worth the watch for any closet geeks here.

More often the theater audience makes the experience worse in cinemas as you can see/hear/feel/smel/taste their reactions and cant concentrate to the movie. You dont get as good "being there" feel in theaters either.But these are just my opinions, but you cant argue about facts, so we should argue about our opinions.

The Blind Side, I think it was called. I was feeling for the poor black dude throughout the movie, but it still didn't feel completely like a movie worthy cinderella story. They could've at least waited 10 years or so. I liked the black dude and the balding ginger kid haha
