way to go Chris..

Ya know..instead of just letting it expire...he could sell that domain for about $100 bucks.

I talked to him other day about Dfilms, he was seriously gutted that he let it die. He should have taken the offers he got when they were given. He said Karl got lazy and never did what he was suppose to.

Looks like him and I both had to learn the hard way about working with 15 year olds..

Well...he should at least renew the domain. A site like his wouldn't be hard to get going again.

He seems more wrapped up in the live streamign show he is going to be doing. I know he has had cameras and equipment donated to him for cheap plugs and such.

Eh...no disrespect but Chris was delusional if he ever thought he'd get $xx,xxx for Dfilms, and that's what he was going for.

His website had zero revenue. Only the dumbest fuck alive would drop thousands into a website that made nothing.

This is exactly what I thought back then, and it's what I know now.

Chris should've taken the highest offer and ran...

Totally agree.

Haha

But I can see why it would get 8k, it go mad site traffic (Karl showed me the numbers everday) any one who ran a site well could buy it for 8k and sell mad ad's. Would have been a good buisness investment.

He seems more interested in his live streaming show at the moment. A shame he let it die though, it was awesome. Spacehamsters has expired as well :( probably should have done something with it when I had the chance to.

Well...the site had been around for almost 2 years which really helps. Then they tried to make it out as if they've never tried advertising when they really had - Adsense - it just made so little that they took it down.

The whole thing looks good on paper...which is why so many people started off interested....but at a closer look...you could see the site wasnt worth nearly what they were asking for it. I think the dude who made them the offer of 8k backed out or something...most likely because he realized it would've been a total waste of money.

It didnt get mad traffic. It got like...3k unique visitors a day at its peak. For a video site...thats shitty.

That's nothing, it's pretty easy to pull off that amount of traffic. The problem with dfilms was that it was a bandwith whore, whoever was gonna buy would have to foot bandwith bills, making it worth less than it was.
Plus there was no revenue to the site, Chris and Karl didn't really diversify into a niche, it was just a typical video hosting site so they couldn't point potential customers anywhere that would pay for stuff.
