Our namless crew will begin production on our new movie soon, but we need to purchase a camera, we was wondering if this would be good enough? (Quality wise)

http://shop1.outpost.com/product/3934808do u have an old movie?
yeah,the cams good...stupid question.
26 June 2006, 07:27 UTC#4
If you are brand new...DO NOT GET THAT CAM......it's a great cam, but if you are a new group why the fuck would u wanna waste shitl oads of money on a cam you won't know how to use fully and that would be wasted on filming shite content. Get two smaller cams, multi angle would be much better for you.
26 June 2006, 07:30 UTC#5
I popped a boner.
26 June 2006, 07:49 UTC#6
yeah dude...if your just starting out...I suggest buying a couple cheap cameras with that money
good camera doesnt necessarily mean good footage

yeah, but a cam thts a few hundred quid WILL be good enough quality, your going to be compressing it for the internet anyways yeah? And even if your not, u wont need professional quality for a film that not too many people are going too see.

26 June 2006, 14:55 UTC#12
I'm leaning towards retarded and unable to research.

26 June 2006, 15:40 UTC#15
Oh no, don't let the boys here fool you tsihihi, that's a terrible cam and they're just trying to be mean and trick you. Hi8 cameras are the way to go
26 June 2006, 15:50 UTC#16
It's a nice camera (I own one), but if you don't even have a name for your crew, this isn't even close to worth having yet.
26 June 2006, 17:31 UTC#17
yeah really...from not hearing bout you guys, I don't recomend buyng it...unless you buy it, and I'll buy it off of you for cheap...if thats cool
26 June 2006, 17:54 UTC#18
Its a good cam, but (I made this mistake) try and get the one with the decent mic inputs, I dont know what model it is, cos mine only has jack input which pisses me off.
26 June 2006, 19:12 UTC#19
Why do I need a mic input?
26 June 2006, 19:27 UTC#20
the 2100 audio pickup is great, there is no need for an additional mic.
26 June 2006, 19:29 UTC#21
There is if you want really good audio, but for HG vids it's more than good enough.
Dex, what are you talking about? XLR inputs?
26 June 2006, 20:09 UTC#22
I cant remember what the inputs are called but they are the connections that you use for most boom mikes etc.
I just think the mic built onto the vx2100 isnt that great really.
26 June 2006, 20:11 UTC#23
Have you tried plugging in headphones and adjusting the volume?
26 June 2006, 20:15 UTC#24
No, why wud I plug in headphones?
And how wud changing volume change the sound quality?
I just think the mic isnt that great, its not bad, but if you wanted to do a decent interview or talking part you really want an external mic, and its hard when you have a shitty jack input.
26 June 2006, 20:27 UTC#25
Turn it up if it's too low, turn it down if it's too high?
If you want to use an external mic, just buy an XLR input for your cam.
26 June 2006, 20:33 UTC#26
Where do I get them from?
26 June 2006, 20:39 UTC#27
26 June 2006, 20:47 UTC#28
cheers negro
27 June 2006, 00:56 UTC#29
