Nah we're using FCP in the office with BlackMagic codec.
21 October 2007, 09:28 UTC#1,509
Don't rape Maddy for asking but is that for DV tapes. B)
21 October 2007, 09:50 UTC#1,510
Nah Digital Betacam tapes. For broadcast.
21 October 2007, 12:05 UTC#1,511
Would there be any point me gettign a tape deck when I have a HDV cam that will do the same job?
Or would it do the same job?
21 October 2007, 14:16 UTC#1,512
it would stop you're cameras play/rewinde life time from dropping everytime you capture and watch tapes back.
but with the amount of cameras you own I wouldnt worry about it
21 October 2007, 14:51 UTC#1,513
When one runs out of battery I just throw it away and use another.

But really does anyone want Ians HVL IRH2?

No point unless you're dealing with a fuckload of tapes. Anyway, the good HD decks are about £25 grand

37-46mm step up, I got two of these and then the guy who sold me the lens emailed me and gave me a free ring because he remembered me? haha.

It's this lens btw.
22 October 2007, 08:09 UTC#1,519
Noice.
I got a new polarizer cos I lost my other one (fell out my pocket, I think it happened when I answered my phone). I can't live without one. You'll be surprised how much of a difference those things make.
22 October 2007, 08:15 UTC#1,520
Yeah man I know what you mean. I got a Linear Polarizer with my filter kit but to be honest reflections have never really been a problem for me.
22 October 2007, 08:22 UTC#1,521
It's not just the reflections (although it can be handy when filming from outside into shops), but the colour saturation is so much better too. Especially when your cam doesn't have very vivid colour to begin with...which mine doesn't unfortunately.
22 October 2007, 08:24 UTC#1,522
Ahh right well the HDR-HC7 uses the x.v.Color sensor which can capture or display nearly twice as many (1.8x) viewable colors than currently possible. This provides a more accurate and vivid color range, for a more natural, lifelike overall experience.
HOW D'YA LIKE THEM APPLES VODE.
