ok so for xmas I got a DVD burner. but it only seems to works with - Disks.
I found the box today and its got + & - all over it.
how do I get + disks to work with it?
do I set it up somehow?
iv got a stack of +DVDs I need to burn too.

Is that all it says? No model number after it?
Cos, I could prolly find a few customer reviews on it.... and see if anyone has had any trouble with as well?

no model number. cant find it anywhere, the driver disk dont even autoplay. its all in code

Well if on the box it has + and - then your fine it should burn both. But if its not then take it back and ask for a new one that does
I dont think firmware will do shit...
Can you find any info for it? Like make and anymore info. Also if you go into hardware managment it should have theinfo for it in there.
Bu if it burns - then tahts fine? - is cheaper to buy. I did make a thread on what is different on the HGV thread.

Well it might just not recognise the disk brand though, that why I suggested updating firmware...
Other than that, I'm stuck for ideas mate. Sorry.

Try DVD+RW, I have the same exact problem, it says it will burn all the formats, but it has problems with DVD+R.
If you do RW it should work, but I don't know why..

why don't you just use DVD-R?
They work on more dvd players, and are usually cheaper if not the same price.

I was just offering my advice, but I don't know how to actually solve your problem. Google search the problem maybe?
