Can some1 help plz

I was out filming today and the police were called on us for standing on a roof and I filmed them arrive and she asked me to turn the camera off so I just politly put it by my side still filming, she asked if it was off and I sed yes, she wanted to see so I flicked the switch and showed her it was off. Anyway.........
She went to speak to other people I was with and then tried to take my camera from me, I refused and she would insist I give it to her, I said "I'll take the battery out if it makes u happier" and she said OK, but is she allowed to take it from me for filming her anyway?

I was filming in a shop and I was wondering if the security guards are allowed to take it too cos he was trying to open my bag and take it out when I was trying to leave after he already had a go at my mate for skating in the shop.

Just wondering if these people can take my camera or not? and does anyone know where I can find (in full if possible) the filming laws for England. UK ???

I was filming the police before and it was quite obvious and she asked if I had permission to film but I'm not sure if you can or not

Ask weak or the cop guy.

Noone is allowed to take your property off you apart from the police if they have a warrant to do so or it imposes a threat (in which your camera didn't). I asked a policeman about how he would feel if I was filming him and he said legally I can, although as a person he'd feel provoked and may do something about it. But by all means film the police they can't do anything about it.

Although, if you were filming illegal activities, then the police can take it because it contains evidence.

OK thanks guys, and neKa I wasn't filming illegal activities because she arrived before I had a chance to lol but then again she wouldn't really know would she, and jumping off a roof isn't really illegal, its being on the roof that is lol

Well if you were just on a roof and nothing else then that is tresspassing which is a civil offence which you would'nt get charged for.
