I got one on my chest and it hurt like a fucking bitch. It's the worst physical pain I've ever experienced, but that's not really saying much coming from me because I've never even broken a bone.
It basically feels like get a shot a thousand times in the same area. I dont know, it may not hurt as bad on the forearm. The guy who did mine said the chest is a really painful area to get it done.

Everyone has different pain thresholds. It's not a case of trying to be tough it is whether or not the individual reacts to the pain in the same way others do because everyone is different. When I had mine, the bloodline is the only thing that hurt on it, but that was because it was the needle with no ink, not to mention being the smallest part of the tattoo.

I agree that a tattoo should mean something to you. Its stupid getting bunnys and game chars on you... when your 70 your gona look like a twat when your grandkids what it was for.

I guess it has more to do with it being individual, and when you see something that is deemed 'individual' I guess it can be considered to be having more meaning. Rather than some of the generic tribal shit you see people toting on their bodies.

I have a tattoo exactly where you plan on putting yours, it didnt hurt me at all. Best example of what to compare it to would be a cat scratch or a mild sunburn.

Places where you have less thick skin/ fat hurt the most. Think of your feet, hands, etc they hurt like a bitch.
Arms and upper legs are probably the least painful places. I'd like a tat but Im still waiting for the perfect thing to go through my head.
And I don't want it to be in a too striking place. I mean, fuck, if I turn out to be a doctor in 10 years I dont want a fat tattoo on my arm sticking out.

Thats what I thought when I got mine. But I can cover it with a sweatband or something if a profession requires (obviously not a doctor or whatever).
But it represents to me my inner child and the part of my childhood that I wish not to forget, I didn't get it because I thought it would be funny to show my friends because alot of people have said they don't care for it. It just means to me what I like it to and I am very happy with having it.
