Pretty much, everything is taking off and building up right now for a lot of distribution soon. The Homegrown Collection will soon be distributed in Canada and Austrailia/New Zealand in the coming months and possibly Japan, since they are showing interest. It will be distributed in the UK and Europe but that will take a little bit more time than signing distribution deals for other territories.

Domestically, after the meeting yesterday, everything is looking very good. The tv commercial distributors love the product and they are confident it will do well and be profitable for all parties involved. They would air the commercials on TV for several months and handle all orders, and soon after the DVDs would then be distributed in stores after everybody has already seen them advertised on TV if they haven't already bought them.

This distributor told me yesterday that they already want sequels produced for the DVD so that commercials can also feature 2 DVDs for $20, similar girls gone wild style advertising where they sell 2 DVDs at a good price. They want a sequel made asap within 6-8 weeks, and then they want me to get started on part 3 and 4 for the next series of commercials when part 1 and 2 move into the stores and off of TV. Editing will go faster because I just hired a new editor.

So right now, any groups that want to be in the sequels need to contact me asap. It's time to submit footage and get things started up. If you want to submit footage, it is best to email me at [email address redacted] with "HGC footage" as the title of the email.

We'll be using the same contract as used for the first DVD and groups will get a 30% split of all revenue generated from the DVD. With the TV commercial placement, the revenue should be very impressive for everybody involved. Groups that submit footage will also get a complimentary copy of the first Homegrown Collection DVD.

I was also pitched an idea by this distributor for a production that they want to distribute and I actually had this idea already, as shown in the muppets section, so I definitely want to make this production. The production would be The Homegrown Documentary and it would be filled with interviews and stunts just like the little documentary section the muppets had in the hgc dvd. Interviews with the groups, the members, even your girlfriends and your parents, maybe your school teachers. It could make for a very interesting production and show an entirely different side to what you guys do as compared to a dvd like the hgc. I would probably enter this documentary in film festivals everywhere and they would then distribute it on the tv commercials as well.

So if you want to be involved, this is the time to submit footage. Stunts, pranks, interviews and whatever other footage you have that you feel should be in the next Homegrown Collection DVDs

RULES: do not submit footage with any nudity.

Email me at [email address redacted] with "HGC footage" as the title of the email if you want to submit footage and I'll reply with my mailing address and the contract.

Thanks...

And why is that?

Before people thought I was just going to run away with the footage and never produce a DVD. Now the first DVD is produced, most of you guys love the DVD and distribution deals are set in place and still developing.

It just seems too soon for people to know how everything will work out for the first one for there to be a second one. If it makes the groups loads of money and they are up for a second one with everything having worked out then so much the better. But with things still not finished on the HGC DVD it is too soon.

Yes you did make a dvd this time and I have no doubt you will make another. But your attitude is too uptight. All that shit the the retardz annoyed alot of people. Plus all the delays.

What do you mean most of us guys? I doubt you have heard the opinions of the majority of people here, correct me if im wrong.

To be honest, something like this would probably bring a lot of publicity to DR and I'd kinda want to submit, especially as I have a ton of old skool DR stuff I won't be using in the DVD.

I just don't like the way you deal with things Moody. Plus if I submitted I'd be editing our stuff myself.

what happened with the retardz footage is between me and them and since it was the first time something like that ever happened to me, that was how I decided to handle it.

I've read just about everybodies opinion unless it was posted in vip. There's been about 5-7 people on here who I have read some reviews from. Maybe you've read more than me.

I'd be down, but I don't really like the idea of a rushed project. Good things come with time, they can't be rushed. But maybe it'd be worth the attention.

Any way groups can watch their segment before the video is released so they're satisfied with the finished project?

I'd consider submitting footage, but I'm skeptical about dealing with moody, as I don't really like how he's handled some of the issues that have come up during the production of the first HGC.

I forgot to mention this in the post above. The distributor told me that everything has to be produced in house, because I had this conversation with them about this kind of thing. They said that I can be sent edited video but it CANNOT contain any sound effects or music. If you want a certain bands song in your section, have the band contact me and I will get them all the information they need to submit the music for your section.

When you're dealing with distributors like this, they call the shots. You might be responsible but they aren't risking a lawsuit over somebody elses mistake. They are holding me fully responsible for everything and they've laid out the rules for me. It's my job to follow the rules.

You guys have to understand, when you're dealing with the stores, tv commercials and other distribution, a mistake can cost you a lot and these are big companies we're dealing with here. You might want to call the shots and edit everything yourself but it's not going to happen because the distributors won't allow it and also because Webby already proved that I can't trust everybody in editing their own video.

ideally I want group sections to be at least 3 minutes in length like GMC WHAT had in the hgc dvd but It would be best if group sections ran 7-10 minutes in length. it would be best to just send out the best footage you want to have featured in your production.

shoot interviews with your group members, parents, your girlfriends, teachers, etc...

It's not going to be rushed. I'm going to have an editor that is fully dedicated to the production. The last editor was working on other productions at the same time so that delayed things. That won't happen again.

It's a possibility that groups can view their sections before it is released but it would have a HUGE water mark on it to prevent it from leaking onto the internet.

Yeah, but most of the people who would rip the DVD wouldn't be the groups that were in it, they would be people who bought it and decide to make it avaliable to others for free. I doubt that there are many, if any, members of groups that are in the HGC dvd that would voluntarially rip and upload it for others to watch for free when they are going to make money off of it. With the exception of maybe just ripping it so a few people they knew, or maybe some people on here could see it without buying it. If they trusted someone enough to rip and upload it for them though, I doubt that person would be one who'd spread it around on the net, as they'd know that it wouldn't be benificial to the person who was nice enough to upload it for them.

wtf, my footage is copyrighted to me anyway? The only thing would be music? I've already got a couple of bands signed for the DR DVD already, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. This seems kinda petty.

The main thing holding me back is the editing being the suck.

exactly, that is why the editing must happen with my editors.

to give an example. I'm soon releasing a dvd that has a famous sound effect in it from a video game. we have to now get clearance from the video game company before releasing the dvd. all problems like this or possibly not having the write paperwork signed, or whatever is going to be avoided at all costs.

plus I just bought the rights to 1,000 songs from a music producer in New York that was desperate for money and the beats and music is bad ass. so with this 1,000 songs on top of the music I already have, its not like I'll be short on music anytime soon.

sounds good. if u have enough footage for 2 sections, go ahead and cut 2 sections.

for the documentary if u could send me new raw footage and interviews with everybody that would be great. it would also be interesting to show that you live on the other side of the world in Israel.

After seeing all the groups sections in the first one, it kinda makes me wan't too take part in a second one.. just too see us on a DVD, I mean.. It is a bit soon though.

If we start filming again, which looks likely, I WILL submit some footage for it, just soo you know.

But, some sort of official deadline would help alot, like the exact date? if possible.

You see, I need release forms from the bands signed directly to me. I don't want to use somebody elses release form for this dvd. It might sound petty to you but if you were running a business you would do the same thing.

A new editor is handling this production. It will have a totally different style.

is that a yes?

if so then il film some interviews in the hottest places in israel with a few of us who speak english perfectly

how soon can you provide the music?

the sooner you provide the sooner il finish

and after il finish I can show you the section for your approval if you want

want me to come to msn?
