what if nobody in your crew skates, boards or does any of that shit could we submit footage of us attemting to skate and board will that qualify??

The skate one was just like the others, an idea but does not mean it will end up being skating.
What I am thinking, if Gman, Weak, or someone else, wants, or people want to volunteer, we will go and come up with the 5 categories, then the two options... get the groups that are new, open it up, and then the 3 of us will judge, the winner gets the $/exposure and whatever.

I agree.
But I do not want to limit the contest to the videos I like. Personally I am not into bush jumps or whatever, but into the tasteless. But want to appeal to everyone, so people can show off their range.

We're not really a new group.. but we haven't had much realeases... so I don't know.. this is something we need too because our group has slowed down on filming and this would get us motivated for more filming.

Once/If I get others that are interested in judging/picking tasks/groups will have to narrow down what groups are new or not. I really do not know enough myself to judge.
But I am also interested in buying dvds, etc., if you have them/selling them.

There is something I don't like about this. It seems a group would be showing off original content when it would be far more productive going towards a group release rather than a competition...

I like your idea , but a bad thing with this is that some of the newest groups arent very reliable.
Like in the hunt a shitload of groups just did 3-5 tasks.
So you migth not get so many videos in the end.

That is true, too. I mean, it would be for their benefit, plus it would give them exposure. If enough old people do not think it would work/it would be a good idea I am not going to be pissed or run it. Was just a thought to try to build up new groups in a way. I'd be happy to do something else to support a new group if people think the group is good, but really cannot think of another way to identify groups like that.

I am set to start it once I find two other people who want to come up with the 5 main categories/tasks
under them, and to act as judges.
Once we get the judges set, and the tasks, we can decide what makes a new team, and start it up. WKH would you be interested to assist?
