Here's my verdict, typed up into a review, I will try too keep it small.
Ok, soo, at a glance I thought NMV easily had an advantage with their video, although, after watching AP's a few times over, I picked up on a few things I hadn't even noticed watching it first time around, some tasks where better than I thought.
NMV.I liked the editing in this, the intro was good, overall nicely layed out video, which made me enjoy it more.
- The CD task was done really well, 3 times, then finally breaking it, you can tell his head really gets forced into the CD, which was good.
- The head too fan task was also great, I never even thought about the barbed wire, which was a good addition, also, the aftermath looked painful too, props.
- The tacks into head was good, also in the ear.. mad props for that, that looked baad.
- The firecracker up the nose was also good, real nice.
- The end would be my favourite part, was really nicely done, funny as hell too, a nice clip too end the video.
Some things like the basketball to head could of gone better, although the barbed wire made up for it.
Also the mouse traps too stomach didn't LOOK like they really made contact, also with the head, but I didn't expect them too be used on the stomach, soo that's cool.
AP.Overall nice video, didn't like the editing much, but, it's not about the editing, really.
- Task 32 from AP was great, I thought it was just a simple jump, onto lightubes... which ain't a bad stunt anyways, but someone was underneath it.. which made it twice as good, imo. Also, by the looks of it his elbow landed on his head, ouch, nicely done task.
- The mouse traps too fingers was pretty damn sweet, must of hurt like hell, I've never actually had one mouse trap on any of my fingers, so I dunno what it feels like, but I've seen a few before and just one looks like it hurts like hell, good work guys.
- Task 21, this didn't look too good first time round, but it looks too me like a nail gun, and if you look closely, the nail (or whatever) goes right through the skin and shoots out the other end, damn good stuff.
- The car hit looked sick as hell, you can see his ankle get all twisted, kinda, and just fling up, sick.
- The weedwhacker too leg looked nice, nice aftermath too, props.
The video could of gone better, maybe if it was edited a little faster, although, this way you can see which task is which, soo not all bad, all of the stunts where done well, good work, the slam through the table could of gone better, although it was on fire, few tacks, ended up alright.
Also, some of the aftermath looked sweet, like the cut from the tubes.
From what I counted NMV completed 19 tasks and AP completed 27, obviously not including the same tasks done twice.
NMV have always been known as one of the, if not, THE top group in HG. Mad props too them, they always seem too be busting their asses, from their backyard videos too their stunts.
After watching each video several times I think the final vote goes too..................AP.
They stepped up and proved they could hang with NMV.
I thought AP deserved it just that bit more between those two videos, AP's video stood out more too me.
Maybe it's time NMV stepped down, and gave someone else time too shine
Although, maybe NMV could of produced a better video than AP on any other given day, but between the videos produced from the faceoff, I think AP's was just that bit better.
My vote goes too AP.
I enjoyed both the videos, both teams busted their assed too produce the best video they could in the time given, props too them both, but I think AP deserve this one. Congrats guys.
I fucking love baz, he knows his shit and he anit even in a good group (sorry but my opininon) anyways hes wrote a review I would have. so I'll just cover the stuff he hasnt or I didnt agree with.
the editing I feel AP was more the style I liked. I loved how NMV did the intro as its somthing I havnt seen before but the way everything was edited I feel they should of cut down there clips at the start n end. also the angles was always basic. so editing goes to AP with its fasterpasced count down.
I also loved the barbed wire fan as we 'retardz' was gunna do it but we had our fan removed from down stars. but the baredwire stoped it from picking up speed. ap's fan was going some speed and looked more painfull...also leroy must of felt it more.
I think what does it for me is AP isnt looked at as a good crew as we've never seen much from them. and no mercy are ledgends. so I think we all expected more from them but they didnt even do all the tasks so AP surprised me alot. I love both videos and im not gunna be biast towards no mercy as they are one of my all time fave groups but I feel AP took the faceoff crown this time. maybe muppets can challenge them now?
all in all both groups got to film some new stunts and got some new hardcore videos out. and thats what really matters if egos of who was better is moved aside.
im fucking ill at the moment with flu so these vids have gave me somthing new to watch...being as I cant go filming now
