Nah, the only guy who is still down to film lives 2 hours North of me
It seems like a lot of people are in this position. It's a shame we live in other countries. Imagine what some of us could do if we all were able to team up. That would be insane. If I can get this type of footage by myself, imagine what kind of crazy shit we could get in a group.

Nah. It's kind of hard to explain but I just dont do things that way anymore. To me thats like forcing something that should just be natural.
Last year I met up with this guy I discovered through our local cable access station. He was almost exactly in the same position as me. He's dedicated to his passion for filming and tired of working with people are flakey and unmotivated.
The problem with working with like minded people is that despite the fact that you both love doing the same thing, you cant help but only care about your own project. If youre dedicated to filming, chances are you already set on doing your own thing. That's how I am, and that's how this guy was. I wanted to do my movie...and he wanted to do his tv show. We tried doing both and it just didnt work cause at the end of the day...he only cared about his shit and I only cared about mine. It really was a total disaster. We almost got in a fight while working with hookers on a project called IOU Porn. He fucked everything up.
Going solo can suck, but it's nice not having to rely on people who really dont give a shit. It's like cutting the fat off the meat. I'd rather quit than resort to myspace

People liked my videos long before they ever started liking me. If anything, people initially disliked me but enjoyed my clips. I came into this whole homegrown thing talking shit. But yeah...youre probally right...even though I really doubt I'm as loved as you seem to think..
