No, I heard about this.
They build up some postive feedback, then submit tonnes of auctions all at once. Everyone realises they got scammed at around the same time so they only really see the + stuff till then.

If you noticed, all the thefts took place between December 13 - December 19. That's about a week, so around the 20th or the 21st the people that won the auctions earlier on probably started to complain and wanting to know where thier items were as christmas was so soon. After reports were filed to ebay he was probably suspended indefinately and had the information that he'd supplied to ebay (I seriously doubt it was correct) sent to the FBI so that a federal fraud investigation could be opened. Therefore, none of the people who bought these items saw the negative feedbacks, because at that point he only had positives showing. It isn't really likely that he'll be caught, however, because of the manner in which he had people pay, which from what I read on the auctions was usually with Western Union transfers (extremely stupid to pay for items like this, no protection), Money Orders, Cash, or Checks. Though it does seem as if whenever he cashed the checks in a bank account that it would leave evidence, he most likely fled over the border to Canada or Mexico to avoid being prosecuted.
