I found this clip on google videos. It is not an official video from Nintendo, but it looks very close to how the controller will work and might give some of you a better idea of it.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2063821498385606325ps. I will merge this with the official Nintendo Rev. thread in a day or two.

Looks nice and original, dunno how practical it would be though

Looks like it'd make your wrist/arm tired after a while

looks out right dumb...what a revolution! pffft
The controller idea (yes its original) is so bad....wouldn't work

The only problem with that is the Infra red, It sometimes gets laggy, like infra red mouses and the infra red itoy

If it works well and is smooth and responcive, I think this could be fuckign amazing. It could make fps on consols good again, and sword style games could rule. im not sure about platform games, but racing games could also be given a greshness with this style controller.
Im liking the looks of this.

Didn't the n64 have a pretty 'radical' design? And that was one of hte best controller designs ever imo.
I rmember reading that anyone who has actaully tried using the controllers has loved them. I appluad nitendo for trying somethign new, and aslong as they over come the problems that come wiht infra red, like louzy said about hte lag and shit. This will work well. And it will bring a long due freshness to games, consols bore the crap out of me now, and this could be soemthign too make them fun again.

Yer I agree, I think the infa red thing has inproved a lot, the new xbox controllers never fail me, The gamecube lacked so much and I hope the new one will be great, and that the graphics can compete with the other consols. I dont wanna play on graphics that the 64 could have done.

I completly agree with skipper, atleast Nintendo is trying to bring something new to the table instead of pretty graphics.

I have my doubts, but it's far too soon to judge.

They say the graphics won't be much better than the gamecube, but it will only be priced at around $150.

I dont like the revoulition much,,
if they combined, xbox interface, ps3 processors, and nintento revolution remote, it would make a cool system.
30 December 2005, 17:09 UTC#16
ah no more laying in bed at an angle playin a quick video game
you have to sit up right with your arm pointing directly at the tv screen
30 December 2005, 17:25 UTC#17
And make big swooshie movemtns, gaming is no longer fun, its a work out!!
It will take some getting used to I think, but could be worth it.
30 December 2005, 17:27 UTC#18
why move your whole arm for you to move left when all it takes at the moment is a press of the tumb...we're moving back not foward

But it brings so many new possiblities. FPS on consols suck, this could change that. A starwars game where u control the light saber completly manullay, that would rule!!
30 December 2005, 18:32 UTC#20
lol sure it would
