Because over the course of several decades, people would arrive an hour late for work, and the time would be incorrect. Better to fix the problem whilst it's minor, don't you think?

but only the uber accurate clocks would notice thaty sort of thing, whereas everyone else would have the normal watches/clocks to go by, so it wouldnt matter

the thing with saying stuff like that is...it all seems so limitless now but think about it...this time next year (not meaning to get all morbid on ya) but you might not be around anymore.. so missing celebrating one new year is okay if you think about it now! but if you think that it could be your last would you still be okay for missing one?...
