I got a virus!!!

hye ya'll. I was browsin' some porno and got a nasty spyware virus. It's really fucked my shit up on my old computer. It made my desk top a web page, and it keeps changing colors. I ran spyware and ad aware, and spyware can't seems to remove 2 of the problems.

something with the cmdService.exe in the registry.

anyone got any advice? I'm dyin over here!

lol, those "free" porn sites = hell on your computer, and practically never-ending popups. You should just use hacked passes to get on the legit ones. Unless you were doing that whenever you got the virus (which is doubtful), in that case...I guess you're fucked, if it's really bad you might end up having to format. Have you tried system restore?

yeah, I'm just going to those free movie clip sites. occasionally I get a download thing in firefox to get some .swf file. since it's the same box as the .wmv videos, I accidently acdcepted and all hell broke loose!

Restart your comp into safe mode and run your antivirus.

download AVG antivirus if you can. It's never failed me.

Yep, scan with AVG. People should have the sense now to realise what google search results porno does to your PC. And when you have a virus, restoring your PC to an earlier date won't fix shit unless the virus is completely removed.

DanG.... get rid of Norton man. Get a better scanner... G said AVG... Its cool but I think NOD32 is better. www.nod32.com if you need help MSN me.

Also geta damn firewall. Most firewalls will block the popups and stop the virus anyway before it connects. Get www.zonealarm.com or something like it (Only get the firewall not there shitty Virus scanner)

Also use a "GOOD" spyware scanner! SpyBot is good and I think ZoneAlarm comes with one now... Not heard much about it so am not sure if its good. http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html

Also click START>RUN> type "MSCONFIG" and click on STARTUP tab. Go though it and look to see if theres anything that looks like some popup software. and if you find anything that looks strange (There will be alot) type it in GOOGLE and see what it tells you... theres alot of sites that have the meanings of all the startups... so check.... if it tells you its a virus then unclick it.

Also.... scan your computer every week! And UPDATE.... Its amazing how many people dont update and expect there scanner to pick up a virus... remember... OLD VIRUS'S die... so NEW ones come out! And if your not up2date then you will not even know you ahve a virus as alot dont tell you... and if its a trojan you will not know... but everything you do is watched and logged....

And... stay away from free pr0n... I dont even think that needs a explanation.

Ok. first get the spyware thing I linked in my first post. use it (Make sure you update) its free to use.

Next get a popupblocker.... Just google free popup blocker and get it from a real site not a review site. or use www.download.com and search there

thanks doyle im gunna go search for it cuz I did that one link that dude left and I followed everything and now computer is going faster and im just gettin popups but my firefox ones blocks the ones that are on the page and everything this is just the ones that just come outta no where, but im trying to find a popup blocker I;ll tell u when I do and if it works but thanks for the help

If even with FireFox you still get popups you have spyware... its NOT anything to do with a popup blocker as you wont get them if you have no spyware....

I have spybot search and destory I run it constantly it doesnt do anything really I mean it catches some but this one popup with the html of y665 or something like that always pops up and everything I use wont find it even AVG couldnt get anything
