I just finished compiling and editing a 90-minute compilation of B-movies, 60s and 70s sleaze, skatevids, bad television, homevideos, documentaries, Jackass-wannabes, motorbike wreckage, Japanese TV, bloopers, strange porn, streetfights, bad music videos, fucked-up TV pilots and insane commercials. I don't know about No Mercy and Pickled Eggs, I don't own them so I don't think it's in there. Most of this footage comes from cult movie traders and my own collection, ranging from captured betamax tapes to DVD and DiVX movies.

It's a compilation like Japanorama, Crazy Dave Tape, Faces Of Death and sortlike... it's inspired by them anyway.

You just stole footage from the internet and put some music over it.

Like I said, this footage came from all over the place, and the Jackass wannabe stuff I'm talking about isn't even in the trailer. If you read my blurb and just assume I'm calling No Mercy and Pickled Eggs Jackass-wannabes, then that's your mistake. I'd hardly call the clips you see in the trailer wannabe.

I made this shit to have something to watch while having a beer and a joint, and trade it with other video geeks. If anybody's footage is in there I'd be more than happy to send them a copy - it's just a homegrown mixtape timewaster for couch potato stoners, dudes. The only reason I'm also trading it for money is because not everybody's got a cool movie to trade.

As long as he dosn't get a distribution deal (which wont happen) I don't see a problem with it.

As long as he gives a copy or royalites or what ever to the homegrown groups, just contact them first before you send out your dvd.

p.s. if you were to just release the clip online for free, it'd be a different story. Why make and sell a DVD if you just wanna give stoners and drunks something to watch for 90 mins? stick it on line for download and let them make their own DVD's!

Well, I guess I did, and I hate the fact that that's why this thread turned sour so fast.

And the DVD is actually gonna be released on torrent sites for free all over the internet by the PiMPRiPPaZ (http://thepiratebay.org/search.php?q=pimprippaz) team. I mailed a copy for them, and the torrents for it will be on the site I mentioned once it is out.

Having the mixtape is cool, but you.. going to sell it is.. not so cool.

As mentioned before, you ripped peoples work without permission meaning you're not even allowed to just sell it. So either just put your whole project online or drop it as you're gonna get screwed by the people you're ripping off from.
