When ever I tell a mac user that I edit on PC's they always give me this "look". What the fuck is up with that? Why are macs so much better for editing? I haven't seen anything that a mac can do that a PC couldn't.
So maybe some of you Mac users can enlighten me.
What's the big deal, eh?

Some would say they're more reliable, but I wouldn't since my friend's mac fucks up more than my PC. I think it's more the user, not the computer.

All I know is that Mac's don't crash, or at least so they say. And Macs are easier to use and they have lots of inbuilt stuff that you don't have to mess around with like better videocards and so on. And I guess it's just smoother overall when using photo and video editing softwares. And Mac's are trendy. That's all I know

They don't crash as much as PC's. I haven't had a Mac in over 5 years, so I can't speak of own experiences, but this is what I've heard to be the main reason why some people prefer Mac to PC

Oh and, edit on whatever you are comfortable with. Some Mac users are just pretentious assholes. I say, if you are good at using something, edit on it. If they give you shit, just show them what you've made on Vegas.
(And if you give me shit, I'll show you what I've made on Final Cut

Was that in National Geographic? I remember reading somthing like that... There was a big article about bears focused on how they act when confronted with different smells... so fascinating...
It said that most(75%) of the bear attacks on menstruating MACs happen in spring time...

No real advantages really, MAC does crash...I've witnessed it on my Bosses OSx. Use whatever you're comfortable with, OSx is fucking lovely, it's based on *BSD which is a really stable OS. However, *BSD is only the kernel. Mac may support a few formats that windows doesn't, however it certainly isn't a whole load more superior. If you do notice any difference, it's physcological.

my school had G4's right when they came out and I would edit in Final Cut Pro on them. They were seriously slow as shit and I'll never understand how anyone thinks Macs are fucking superior.

I ahve an OSX, and I love it
im not saying its superior or ne thing, but I find things to be so much easier, everything is just right there in front of you
im not really a computer person so I dont know too much shit, but I love macs
it just blows how they are not coompatible with shit, windows media takes a while to buffer n load, so watching videos can be frustrating

I've edited on macs before
personally, I don't like it....I prefer pc's
theres a few things that I didnt like about final cut pro
plus I hate the mouse
