okay I finally got a firewire port fer my comp but have no clue how to put it in ne1 wanna help me thru this?

Turn off your computer, open up your computer, insert it into an empty slot, restart your computer, done.

I did but it isnt reading it when I hook my cam up to it

Stupid question: is the cam turned on play mode?

And have you installed the drivers that came with the firewire card? Made sure the firewire card is firmly pushed into the PCI slot?
