This is old. When I worked for a company called Powerhouse this happened. Its a easy way though to get cheap stuff.... and simple.

Reminds me of this story of a 11 year old who printed money from other countrys that not many people knew about then took it to a bank to exchange... as they were not used to the cash they changed it. Only reason he got busted was because he kepy going back and back :P

Yeah dude that's just what I was thinking to. Who cares if he went to girls who he thought 'didnt know as much' but how the fuck can you think an iPod would costs that little?

I guess he used stickers of some kind. on my goods like these they all look the same unlike with food.

Also I guess if your working on a checkout all day you dont even look at the stuff your scanning.... your just on auto.

Yeah but they always tell you your total... that would be like okay your totals '5.03' that wouldnt sound weird after seeing an iPod going past?

You're right. I used to work at Target and they told me how their Security specialist works. They said that the majority of shoplifters have a tendency to steal from the same place. Whent hey successfully steal something, they think it was because they dont have any security watching, and they go back cause they think they can continue to get away with it.

but what Target does is they purpously dont intervene. They get your license plate and let you keep coming back until youve stolen over $500 in merch, then it's considered grand theft, which is a felony.

Normally, misdeamnor theft is a slap on the wrist, which is why stealing is so common. The penalty is weak. If they get you for grand theft though, youre more likely to get jail time, and hopefully be swayed not to do it again.

On another note, shoplifting is so fucking easy. Almost all major places have no chase policy. As long as they dont get your plates, they cant do shit! I love it! You just run away and they go "oh darn". Although, Ive only stolen like 2 things in my entire life. haha.
