Music Help

Im going to be making a few mixups soon and I need some music.

Im trying to find the genre of music which has been used in like the Lord of The Rings, Star Wars maybe and other things, also in some SST Pro videos.
Something around that, ive tryed searching for different genres like; gothic, insturmental, classic, well, loads, everything I can think of, and I cant find any artists, and Im not sure if its the right genre.
So does anyone know what genre it is im talking about, or even better any artists?

Also, I need some music whats like "uplifting" in a way, if you know what I mean. I cant think of any examples, basically nothing to heavy, but something that builds up slowly, then reaches a climax, used on TV sometimes to show like a build up of something, songs around that region.
Or maybe songs which could be used in a tribute video in way? like something slow, yet it quite heavy, not balads.

Well I think thats it, I hope someone knows what I mean, and I know there kinda tough questions, and descriptions.

I would say it was classical but apart from that I'm not realy sure man

Yeah I tryed that, but couldnt find any artists, and when I tryed searching the genre on limewire, it was coming up with Greenday and stuff, so know any artists?

I don't think progressive could be a genre on its own. A lot of music has build ups and climaxes throughout many genres. It's usually used as a suffix like prog-rock, prog-metal etc.

I found a few artists, but its just not quite what Im looking for, but its close, some are good.
