Driving Silence is a band that consists of some of our friends. This shortmovie is a documentary we did as a tribute to them. It's quite long and the filesize is big, but we really put a lot of effort to make this video, so I hope you find the interest to watch it. I found out a way that I can, I just click the link and copy the url into Ares.

The music is excellent byt the way, do they have a MySpaz?

Damn that was well good.
Loved it funny as fuck, dont no where you came up with the ideas on what to say but it was hillarious.
The best part was when you said "they were the biggest mistake of my whole managing career" Brilliant.

And you looked totally different with each character, well you could make out who's who but the voices, the acting and those ideas, damn that was pretty cool.

The band sounds cool, looks like they no what there doing biggrin.gif

Nice work, was a good 8min of entertainment.

Im glad that it amuses you...


I just recieved a call from Robert that is the leadsinger of the band. He was thrilled with it. So it was a success.

Many of the jokes are inside jokes just so you know... if you go: "erm ok wtf?" when you watch/watched it.

We tryed to make it look proffessional. I personally think the lighting and most of the setting was pretty good. The acting was pretty good(atelast benckas, it always is) And bencka did quite a good job with the editing aswell.

The band does not have MySpace they have a website with lots of songs www.drivingsilence.com

I didn’t really enjoy it that much, I can see you put a lot of effort into making the skit but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. As j0nes said some of the skit had personal jokes in it so that may of added to the reason why I didn’t like it. I felt it dragged on a bit with no real climax or any different scenes. I also didn’t enjoy the Bands music so that also didn’t help

But some parts where funny like when Bencka was playing the guitar. Also like Baz said the suits all looked very well done and you did look like a different person every time.

Edit: How come you guys always speak English in your Skits? Is it just so HGF can understand it?

Because if it was for a Finnish band Then why wouldn’t you do it in finish

We did it in english because of the same reason that we do everything we do in english. We can attract a bigger audience and all of the band member do understand english...

Or was/is our english so bad? IF it was, id like to remind you that some of it was on purpouse(Sven-Erik pipping, swedish accent)


Documentarys rarely have a climax or a storyline... atleast a Parody/Farse Documentary....


And yeah im sorry it wasnt your cup of tea, cant please everyone.

This was mainly done to amuse the band members aswell as the fans of the band...

And posted here because some might enjoy it and for the purposes to give us some feedback on settings, writing, editing, acting and thinks like that... And made attract some new fans for the band...

Thanks man:) now you know that.. and its a good way to keep up our english skills... I havent had an english lesson in like 2years... so if we wouldnt speak and write english some where we'd get rusty...

Basicaly what happens when you dont talk or write it regularly is that you forget the words and how to spell...

thank god for the all the Movies, tv-shows and Music (helps us pronounce)




Boner its a pharse... It follows the lines of a documentary but basically its a skit because nothing the characters say has anything do with the truth... and all charachtes are completely fictional... so yeah its more like a short movie or a pharse or parody of a documentary...

I thought it was too much interviews to be honest. They needed to be cut down on like others mentioned.

It did make me laugh though so that's good stuff!

Should of have shown more of the band playing and that.

I liked it biggrin.gif benCKa made me laugh at the begginning, and so did the ex-manager. I think I know someone like the ex-guitarist too. Music was cool too. I thought you got the whole documentary vibe just right, cos there's loads of interviews in docus anyway! Good job!

Like I said earlier in this thread. It was made to amuse the band and the fans of the band. And as a tribute to Driving Silence(the band) And I allso said why I posted it here.....

As j0nes already said we do these things in english cause it's our style, and the majority of our audience on the web are not finnish. And the atmoshphere of this interview was supposed to be american. The kind you would see on your 60 minutes etc.... Glad you people liked this eventhough there are so many inside jokes in it!

was good, I liked the acting of ben's rolls, jones rolls was more layed back. the band didnt sound tobad too. good job guys but id enjoy a dvd trailer or promo more *hint hint*

Ok I watched this like a week ago or whenever it was you released it.

I can't remember much but I remember thinking it was good. good acting, editing, and the overall "look" was sexy.

I could understand some of it, but pretty much nothing sven said.. I wouldn't worry about subtitles, maybe just fuck around with the audio levels next time. Good stuff though, I really want to see a DVD trailer.
