I would like to learn to use this program so bad, but it differs too much from Premiere, so I don't really know shit about how it works. Does anyone know any good sites that have tutorials for beginners? I've tried to look on google, but it just leads me to a shitload of tutorials that you have to pay money for
It would also be cool if someone who uses this program could explain to me briefly what you do step by step from the moment you open the software to when you export a clip. I have never really understood anything about the software..
If anyone bothers to help me out, I'll be gratefull forever

Actually, same here. I have really got to grips with premiere now and after effects seems to be in a league of its own at the moment as far as editing software goes. Any links to tutorials or pointers would be greatly appreciated. I have only played with the software a couple of times, but never really got to grips with it too well.

Not to be a dick, I know many of you think you have conquered premiere...but you really havent. And more importantly, its your content that you ought to be paying more attention to, not your editing.

WEAK speaks truth, that's why I only gave the tutorial to the Rip/Off guys cause I know their content is worthy.
A lot of the stuff you're hoping to do in AE can probably be done in Premiere Pro.

I don't think I have conquered premiere pro at all......
As far as content goes, I am quite happy with it at the moment. But anyways, thats not the point. The point is, I would probably like to advance onto AE, whether it be in the near or far future, so any tips, tutorials or other stuff would be a great help. Possibly for now yes, premiere is where I should stay for the moment, however I would like to move onto AE, as some of the results people have got with it have been astounding.

after effects is a bitch, a flat out bitch. I just want to learn motion graffics. I got the basics but I have nothing to show.

id say learn to use a simple edito, such as WMV or something else then move on to a more advanced one, then to premiere, and get a feel for it, and be confident with it, then try motion in premiere along with other things and then go for tutorials on after effects and do each one, and get more and more comfortable with the software
its the same for most things, like photoshop, I started out in PAINT like most people, lol, then I moved on to like a cheap free editor, and then to photoshop, and I sucked at first, but I went through tutorials and got better and now I can do most things on it, but im not the best at thinking of what to do in it. ( I call that PS block) haa
