Haha, as you know I have started messing with photoshop. I finally got like an hour to mess around, and I decided to try to make a sig or 2. Let me know which you like better, and what you do/don't like about them.

I know I suck, leave me criticism, it won't hurt my feelings.

I prefer the 1st one, remember, add borders.

As for your text, try messing about with some of the effects. You can do some nice shit with text.

And if you think something looks abit plain or dull, you can add patterns or scanlines as faint overlays, it gives it that little more "perzaz".

They could both use a little more work on them, but for a first, its pretty good.

Put on a stroke on the outside layer...

If your unsure use auto colour.

contrast is your friend.

TEXT: razterise then add stroke etc etc...

Word, youre gonna have to be more specific, the only thing I recognized in that was contrast.

Browse the above sites, thats how I learnt, I basically did a few tutorials when I was bored, its so much easier than having someone tell you. Some are video tutorials, and the others are aided by pictures and go into good detail.

dude...having the balls to post your first sig attempt gets props in my book. Sigs are all about pictures...they dont have to neccisarily have to have affects. Like Tom's ^^^. Just practice and visit the tutorial sites and you'll get the hang of it.

the only tips I have is basically what made said above

and as for borders

1: Make a new layer and set it at the top
2: Use rectangular marquee tool to cover whole box
3: Right click and select stroke
4: select a color and pixel thickness appropriate

Don't really like, too "easy" and those images look as though you were falling asleep doing them. The position of the text on the gun, and the text style is ridiculously lazy.

All in all, OKAY for a first attempt, athough I'd be worried if you had been doing this shiz for a while.
