Learn some HTML then homie biggrin.gif

Firefox is compliant, doesn't fuck up legitimate code. Firefox also includes excellent CSS support and is supported by w3c. Plus, firefox has tabbed browsing which is really usefull when you can have one window open, but as many pages as you like open also.

IE = garbage.

I know GMan will disagree with me... But id say IE is just as good if not betetr now.

When FF first came out it was much better... But nowiwth all the things you can egt with IE id say its better. if you get google toolbar, a goof firewall... and dont fuck about on some sites... its better and id say safer then IE now.

But I have not used 1.5 yet so maybe the holes are patched now.

Well, I do develop sites for a living now. All the bugfixes we have to add purely for IE constitute 10 hours work for each large project. IE really is a pain in the ass, and isn't compliant. It's not about security, which may I add the stable releases of firefox are a whole load more secure. It's about what a pain IE is when developing.

But use whatever floats your boat, personally I cannot use IE and have to get FF before I browse the web on a new computer. IE is pretty shit from my point of view, but for casual browsing and downloading I guess it does the job.

yeah... But the thing is.... IE is used mostly now... And yeah FF has took a big part of the market but IE is the main client. So you saying "I have to code more for IE" is not really a reason as IE was there before.... And FF is not 100% complient. Alot of shit I code does not work in FF 100%. And there interpretation of CSS sucs. And CSS is used alot...

FF has alot of things going for it... and it does not bother me much people using it... But saying you need to code more for IE is kinda wrong as if you just coded for IE then FF "should" work fine. but you will be working for 100% of the market.

But the nagain... Opera is FREE now! And that rocks and is more secure then IE and FF :P

True points, but most of the bugfixes we do for IE are there whether we develop the sites for IE or not, IE just likes adding 1px to headers etc. Infuriating biggrin.gif

Mang, you so cannot code an entire site in PHP without being an idiot biggrin.gif

PHP is used for the framework, HTML is used for the basic linebreaks, and aesthetics for elements and CSS is used for the styling. We often use XML to dynamically retrieve data from the server when a search is performed, so when some feig loads the page the data is already there.

Don't worry mate, I'm keeping up with webstandards. IE just fucks up with everything, including CSS.

Yeah, same here. I'd rather have FF than IE.

You don't get as much spyware with FF.. is that true?

I would say so since it blocks more pop ups and you can get spyware by them..

FF>IE. There's nothing to disproove that fact.

Nah. I dont agree. I have NO spyware and I surf alot of Crack/keygen sites that have shitloads. But FF 1.4 has holes in taht auto installs spyware. if you use standalone IE though yeah you will prob get them... Best to use plugins like Googles bar or some other...

But also depends on your firewall.

Alot of people think Spyware comes from just internet sites... very untrue. Alot of software you download that is legit has spyware in. And alot of stuff you download that is unlegit has tons :P so get a good spyware killer. and if you can one that scans sites and code. cos no browser is 100% safe... But most safe is Opera.... the "Unknown to most" browser.
