Well, FMS is having technical difficulties, with his comp. I went over to check it out today, and it is totally fukt.
:
IAGNOSIS::
Computer wont even turn on, all it does is beep in intervals, with a black screen, it wont even boot! all it does is go
beep...........beep beep...........beep..........beep beep
Image file not present in the recovered backup and the beeping is coming from the tower. Around where the RAM ports are.
Its odd, im gonna call him soon, and give him the fone number of the comp god in our school.
So in conclusion, FMS wont be on the forums for a while.

no that was the computer my parents use, the one I use for editing still works and is the one I am currently using

Probably at a different computer.
Regardless, Windows has an active shelf life of around 6 months, ideally after that you should make backups and reformat. In his case, it sounds like either the BIOS (CMOS) battery has run low, or is outta juice or the hardrive is failing. Either way, it shouldn't be a hard fix..but for computertards like FMS, it's best if he gets advice or takes it to a shop.

If you don't know whats wrong with it, listen to how it beeps then look up on the net the bios beep codes for your motherboard and it'll say whats up with it... I think anyway but I could be wrong.
