Ok here's another idea that will prob die like my rest... But I like thinking of ideas so here it is.
www.divx.com hosts movies that use there DIVX format (What is Divx? Its a Video format just like DVD... just smaller... It can have menus and things and looks and sounds just as good)
I was downloading some of there movies and they seem to have a lot of videos of X-Sports sort of things.
DivX gets a lot of hits and is now used in a lot of DVD player (I own one) so if anyone made a kick-ass video (Long) and made it DIVX and made some kick-ass menu system... made it really good and gave it to DivX I bet you would get so many hits and it would be seen my millions.
I just finnished watching the new Star-Wars movie they have on there... really good so check it out if you have time. Its not what you expect for a homemade movie.
Just another idea of mine... you prob will hate it or not bother... but worth a shot

I've always wanted to take some footage I have now and mix it into a longish movie(10min or so).
Maybe ill start working on it now...

if you do make it using DIVX 6 because tahts what they want to be testing.
If you can make it using a Menu system and some extras (Maybe some videos from otehr groups?)
I downloade dthe new star wars movie and its just alike a DVD with the menus and extras... interviews... Most are around 10-1h long.
It would be a great way to get free PR if they used it.
DOWNLOAD it to see what can be done (Really do it) it will blow your mind what these people are doing now.... Only bad thing I can point out in it is the acting... and thats mostly good.

Download DIVX 6. Then download Dr. DIVX. It will give you a editing program to do it.
Soon (very soon) Dr, DivX 2 is out which is better.... But there are also other programs out there to do it... look in software on www.divx.com

DivX quality is amazing.
The best thing about it is that it's compressed so much.
I downloaded Mortal Kombat (the movie) on DivX the other day. It was something like 700mb, and the quality was basically the same.
But as Doyle said, you need the codec first.
Speaking of DivX, does anybody know how to convert DivX to a DVD?

yeah its easy man. On the divx.com site they have software for it... or just type that into google.... loads come up. www.downloads.com has loads also
I download about 5 movies a day (Today got Aliens (All 4) and that was only 3+GB. So I get all 4 movies on one DVD. I am also downlaoding all the preds so ill have them on the same DVD

so let me get this right, you use this thing to make your own menus and edit the movie??? than you just upload it to the site??

guys... learn to use links... they normally take you to places you need to go on these things called "Websites" you get used to it after awhile.
But anyway. This site (DIVX) will host your stuff or just link your stuff if its good... its its shit then no they wont.... So you have to make it good.
But the good thing about it right now is DIVX is kinda new and they want things showing how the menu system works.
There's only ONE program that can do it right now and that's Dr. DivX 2 which is not public right now (Not that I know off) but if you search there website and forum I am sure you will learn some stuff.

Not only is it smaller its a better picture and sound so it will make your videos look better... which is what you want.

Cool man. I got more... I should write them down... I just keep thinking of new things for sitesand stuff.... Since I am not doing anything anymore with sites I just keep thinking of things for this place
