Lol, I actually like Vista, been running it for 2 days now. Its not as bad as I thought.
I love it. As long as you upgrade it, it's totally fine. Not encountered any bugs whatsoever and I've been running it since late August.
The only problem I have is if I try to play things like the Youtube player in full screen I just get a grey full screen, literally nothing but grey. Anyone know anything about this?

I met the guy who filmed this massive documentary today - http://www.intheirwords.org/
We got to see a sneak peak, and it was pretty moving. I love WWII stuff though. He used a Panasonic HVX200 for the most part, and works at the TV station at one of the colleges I'm considering. It was pretty interesting.
