Yesterday there was a big storm here, with lots of rain. I haven't seen anything like it before. I went down to the basement, where the garage is, to see how it copes with the water. There are a few constant problems, where some water always come in, but it's not much, I put a bucket under it, which I have to empty regularly.

I was trying to position the bucket so that it catches most of the water, when I've heard a loud bang, and the sound of water flowing. Within seconds water was coming out rapidly from one of the garage. I decided to remove both of the cars we have, because who knows how much water will come in. I've drove out one of the cars, found a parking place outside, got out of the car, and got totally wet within a few seconds in the storm. Then rushed back to the garage to save the other car. I've succeded, it wasn't very much water in the garage yet.

On my way back from the second car, I've realized that the entrances of the drain system were blocked by some debris, and water level was rising rapidly on the street. Since I was already totally wet, I've cleaned the entrances, and the water started to disappear from the street.

Some 30 meters away, in lower land, a pond was forming, it was about half a meter deep. Cars were going into it, but they all stucked in the middle. I couldn't clean the drain entrances there as I couldn't see where they were in the high level of muddy water.

I went back in the garage, there was about 10-15 centimeters water inside, and since the electric power was out, the automatic pumps weren't running. I went up to the apartment, changed clothes, called my loved one, and my parents, and the maintenance guy of the building, then electricity came back.

I went back to the garage, some water was removed by the pumps, but there were still some water around, which we tried to push in the hole where the pump is. The pump failed, so we had to transfer the water out in buckets to the street.

Later the pump was cleaned, and started to work efficiently. There were still some water in the basement this morning, but it's nothing compared to how much was inside.

We were lucky, in the next building about half a meter deep water went in the basement. A big pump was installed to remove the water, but still there was like 10 centimeters of water all over their basement this morning.

I went to sleep at 1 am after taking a shower. It was an extreme evening.

Watched that movie Creep last night...the one about the mutant serial killer in the London Underground.

Biggest load of shit I've ever seen in my life.

The "heroine" was a square-faced, bum-jawed blonde bitch who couldn't decide if her accent was American, English, or East European. Then later in the film, she tells a homeless bloke that she is in fact German. I actually wanted her to die.

The killer isn't the least bit scary, just a lanky bloke with pasty white skin. He couldn't talk, so all he could do was make these grunting, whiny noises so he sounded like a pig.

The writer/director was clearly American, and has clearly visited London once. He loaded the characters with cockney accents and made them say "wanker" at least once every five minutes. According to him, every 30-something London commuter carries a supply of coke with him to every party and on every train; and equally all station security guards sit in their rooms drinking tea and filling in crosswords about "royal family" and "crown jewels".

If you haven't already seen this film, then don't. It's one of those rare piles of shit that isn't even so bad it's good. It's just really, really bad.
