I mean great as in the pay. it may be different in florida, but here, if you have any exposed tattoo's, or face piercings etc. then you pretty much have no job. unless you can take them out or cover them up. same goes for long hair. every job I have had that deals with people, I had to take my lip ring out. and even cut my hair. once I even had to completely shave all my facial hair.
but the point here is, if you think you have a say in how you look when someone hires you, then you live in a false reality. if that was the case, then if I felt like being naked was who I am. do you really think someone would hire me? yeah, it sucks. but if you want money, suck it up.

I make over a grand sometimes two a week working in a bank building. I have my eye brow peirced and go to work stoned and disheveled. several my coworkers have excessive tattoo's, sleeve's, neck, w/e.

Duran, you've insinuated that your job is illegitimate in some fashion.
It might be a little more relaxed in Florida, but Adem has a valid point. Unless your job is something that encourages tattoos and piercings (like a hairstylist, bouncer, tattoo artist, etc.) then you're encouraged if not required to follow a dress code.
Plus, grow up with all that "I'm an INDIVIDUAL look at my tattoos and piercings! I'm edgy and beyond the rules that govern you silly commoners!" That shit is tired and childish. Get back in line, you sheep. If people need piercings and tattoos to express their individuality, then they're insecure and desperate for acceptance from others based on surface shit like a tat or piercing.
Not saying everyone with a piercing or tat has that mindset, but that's the kind of person Duran is describing when he rages against the machine with the "let me be me" shit.

you're lucky then. I've been ridiculed about my piercing and hair for ages in different types of jobs I have applied for and been interviewed for. I even applied at spencers (a kind of lame rip off of hot topic) and the manager told me straight up that he didn't want me because of my lip ring. so, I guess it's a give or take situation. I've been unlucky so far. I can only wear my piercing at my current job if I'm working in the kitchen and not dealing with people directly.
