Okay, so this douche guy at my college is in the school's fraternity which is full of only douches. He's the webmaster for their section of the school's website and he used his access to the school's master emailing list to send out a spam email about getting a free meal at a restaurant if you forward it to like 9 people.

Here's our email exchange -

Well hey, at least the frat webmaster isn't wildly misusing his access to Thomas More's emailing list. I don't know you, and I don't appreciate you sending spam to my email address. I'd suggest you take off your silly title liner at the bottom of your emails. It makes it seem as though this email should be considered official Delta business, when quite clearly it is not.

You're embarrassing yourself and your organization. Leave me alone with this petty, inane, bullshit.

Oh I'm sorry, I thought you liked petty, insane bullshit. Allow me to add you to my spam list, so I send you, personally, ALL MY SPAM!

And my organization is oh so embarrassed of me. I am also very embarrassed of myself. Did I accomplish my goal making you fall for a fake free meal, I do believe so. So maybe you should be the one who is embarrassed. Pro up.

First of all, I would like to call to attention your undeniable diction difficulties. I made it a point to use the word "inane," to describe your spam email. I won't do you the service of defining the word, but just know that it is far more appropriate than the 4th grade vocabulary word "insane," which you misread it to be.

Second of all, I was simply requesting that you did not mis-use your access to the Thomas More email listings. I assume that as a "WEBMASTER," you understand the danger behind the mass forwarding of email. I won't go into detail on this topic either, as I am sure your web mastery far outreaches that of mine. I do, however, feel that my technology fee to the school should be used towards strict spam control features, such as the GWAVA message restrictions. GWAVA already struggles enough to regulate spam on its own, without people from within our organization adding to the flood.

I'll analogize it for you. Say there's a mass flood pouring down your street. Everyone's safe, but really upset about the property damage and diversion from every-day life that the flood is causing. Many expensive efforts are being made to help stop the flooding; however, no amount of money can stop nature. And there is you, Corey the Webmaster Esmeier with your garden hose, spraying it directly onto your already flooded street. Is your garden hose making that much of a negative impact on the flood? Probably not. But, are you wasting your time, and the time of the people working hard to stop the flood? Yes. Are you making this inconvenience more inconvenient? Yes.

Third of all, I wouldn't have minded the email nearly as much if you had simply taken off your titles at the bottom. I promise that both the Saints Club, and your prestigious fraternity would disapprove of your reckless use of privilege and work-designated tools.

I'll type up my formal complaint to the school and forward that to you as well.

And so you know, I didn't open any of the links in the email, and I didn't forward it to anyone. I do feel offended that your intention was to deceive me and everyone on the email list you have access to.

I suggest you save copies of this email, and the original email I sent to you in reply to your spam. You'll probably need them.

All the more reason for me to get him removed from any extra curricular activities he may spend his free time doing.

HAHAHAHAHA WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?!

Our school email accounts get flooded with spam constantly. The incoming message restrictions that are in place do not work. There is a spam filter called GWAVA that the school uses. It sucks.

This kid is really dumb. By putting it in more illustrated terms, it helps him understand how his sending of spam via an account that doesn't get outgoing messages filtered contributes to the annoying amounts of spam.

Surely you have the ability of abstract thought and can make the connections yourself, Kane. He got the message pretty clearly, and so did the administrators in the Tech Department, considering the behavioral probation he is now on.

The email had links to malicious sites, he was just too dumb to realize it and wanted to get free Applebees easily and quickly.
