So me and my mates have been scammed by two fraudsters posing as estate agents in a crime the likes of which Bournemouth's student union, and here I quote, "have never seen before."

Basically we all paid deposits for a house to an estate agents, had a contract, viewed the house etc. During the summer we all got messages that the estate agent had been taken over by another company, but that everything was still on for the house. On Sunday (a week before we were due to move in) we got texted saying the deal was off, then never heard anything else. Basically the first estate agents went under, invented a story about being taken over to keep us from questioning it then ran off with our cash. So I've gotta go down to bournemouth tomorrow morning and find another place to live. SAFE.

Text them back and ask if they have a place you can stay.

To be honest they've ripped off the wrong people. One of the girls' dads is a fuck-off big-deal solicitor and has had a team of people working on this specific case since it started tracking these people down. Another girl's dad used to be a high-ranked police officer and now works for "some kind of government agency, I'm not really sure which one, he never talks about it but goes away all the time" and is also "helping". Which may or may not mean he's an international super-assassin/cheating on his wife with a secret family.

If I ever see the cunt who ripped me off I'm gonna go fucking apeshit, I was so looking forward to that house.
