Ok im starting to get really pissed off...Can somebody help...

Im trying to play a video...Which needs subtitles .. It came with all the subtitles in a .scr format

Now I stumbled accross this forum with the problem that I have...And it has the anwser

QUOTE
just keep the srt file together in the same folder as your avi file, then download mplayer and mencoder from here

http://mewig.sourceforge.net/modules.php?n...=showpage&pid=7

the mencoder comes with the mplayer if you want to encode movies

to display the subtitles download Directvobsub and install, it will automatically load the srt file into you player when you view your movie file.

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DirectVobSub.htm

But the gay pieces of software dont work!!

I also downloaded some random piece of softwere..Which ended up converting the .srt file into a .saa

Wich dident help Image file not present in the recovered backup

Also..This video wont play in anything other than DivX player

So if anyone can help me ... Get subtitles up on Divx player...it would be a massive help

I think the best movie player around is MPC (Media Player Classic), you can get it at

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/guliver...v2.zip?download

The last time I've looked at it, it didn't installation, just unzip, and run. It doesn't look too fancy,
but it is higly configurable, it has built in support for a whole bunch of formats, and works good.

I hope it will help you.
