Torrents = More hits

Ive been talking to some people about this idea I had for HG groups and alot of them think its a really good idea.

So here it is

I thought id see how many downloads id get if I uploaded LNDLs first season onto Piratebay and other torrent sites.... So I made a torrent file and uploaded it.

Within 1day I had had over 200 downloads... So I checked the hits and wham they all went there (Just a damn shame the sites down ).

the main thing is all I did was upload the torrent... Nothing else. So just think what it would be like if I posted over message boards? And what it would be like if I had over 100 seeds.... because people always check seeds and if its high they download it because others do (Sheep)

So why not get everyone on here to upload there videos?

test it. And also help everyone out by downloading the torrents and seeding to get more people downloading?

I bet if more did it and everyone helped out you would get so many people that would never have even thought about HomeGrown... So a whole new fan base for everyone.

And for people with DVDs out soon it would be great.

Bitlord? this is not about clients... but uTorrent for starters is not full of spyware.... BL is. Next... Utorrent uses only a small amount of memory... Its simple... does evcerything you need.

I have a 4MB connection and I get 300-400KBS all the time... with everything else I got around 200KBS...

all the mods here have been around during hgf tougher times, when no one posted, and they were around during the mikey vs webby fight, the dr vs scp shit, and all kinds of other thigs

it's easy to come to a thriving forum and want to be mod, but most were mods when the forum was shit

Its a torrent file man. Open the ZIP file and then open the file inside. If you have a torrent downloader it will open up and start to download.

If you dont have a clue to what I am saying... download www.utorrent.com and install it. Then open the .torrent file inside them zip files.

Then give it afew mins and it will downlaod.

yep, this is a good method, there is a way to integrate with IPB as well.

yeah. I was reading about it last night. I talked to WEAK and Made about it also. It would be great if people knew how good it could help them... and if we could get a small tracker just for hgf.

Why don't you password the .rar/zip files with passwords that will only be released on your site. Then people will have to visit your site to get your hits up.

Cos thats gay. If people like your stuff the ywill go... Making them go will just piss them off so they dont come back.

I know a lot of sites do it with films. I don't mind, it's like they're providing the films for free, I don't mind going to their site to give them a few hits.

Well try it man. I have had so damn many downloads since uploading. Just on TPB I have over 300 now. and torrentspy has had quite and same as other places. and the hits are coming too... so yeah if I did password it it would be cool

LOL, no offense dude BUT..There are alot of people in my mind that should be a mod way before you. Think about it, many people have been here longer than you have and they have a good homegrown group to back it up. You have had Life of Boredom and you guys just died and we havent even seen any footage from you guys besides hunt.

FMS should be next S-MOD in my opinion.
