I'm a bit of an insomniac, and today I had to wake up at 5:30 AM to renew my residence card. Anyway, I went to bed at like 12:30, and now at 10:30 I'm feeling really fucking tired. Basically, my point is this is a really great way to get into a sleeping pattern, and if we have any other insomniacs on the board...try it.

I'm fucked at the moment. My pattern is all messed up. I'll stay up all night doing what I need to do whether it be coursework, editing or going out to tag and then realise I will need to go to school soon and it's not worth sleeping, get really tired at school, come home and sleep till about 7pm. Before my nap I was up for 67 hours :|

I used to have bad insomnia when I lived in conneticut, it was an old ass house made 10 years after the revolutionary war ended, I think it was haunted but I couldn't get to sleep there I read like 2 books a night trying to get asleep

Go to the gym or do some sport. That'll tire you out when you need it. Make sure you work hard and you should get back to good sleeping patterns.

Exactly the same as me, exhausted all day and wide awake by 9PM.

@ FMS, same here...our house was 20 years old and definately haunted. I was a fucking hermit there, and could never get to sleep no matter how hard I tried. This house we have now, is BRAND new, and I have so much less trouble gettting to sleep.

@ Adem, exactly the same here...my mind is so active during the night, I worry, think about everything that's gone on today, think about what I could do so x would happen, anticipate x day...so annoying. I gotta try some pills.

I have a nightmare every night, but it's pretty cool.

Example: Last night I had a dream that I saw this guy beating the shit out of his wife and kid, so for the rest of the night he was trying to hunt me down so I couldn't rat him out. Like I said, it was pretty cool.

yeah I take doxylamine succinate tablets on a daily basis almost, I know it's not good to get co-dependent, but sometimes you don't have a choice when it comes to sleeping. usually if I have a very bad day I take two and sleep until about 10pm the next night.

but once they kick in I have to lay down or otherwise I'll just pass out wherever I am, and if I wake up in the middle of the night, I don't bother getting up, you're extremely drozy, sometimes I don't even feel like breathing lol.
