Right, firstly, I am extremely bored.
I have based my prediction's on the current time statistics of each member's daily post count and their current post count at the moment. At the current moment in time, Gman has 10,115 posts and is currently posting an approximate amount of 17.6 posts per day. However, Funk Master Steven has 9,650 posts and is posting at a massive 28.5 posts per day. Again, the posts per day are approximate values, but just by looking at the above statistics, we can clearly see the inevitable will happen- Funk master steven WILL overtake Gman at sometime during the near future. Hence the reason I will now attempt to calculate the approximate date of this momentous event.
So, the method for predicting the date is fairly simple, we make calculations using the post count per day and his current post count. Yet, we have to also account for Gman's current daily post count. Thus, I have thought the best way for me to be able to calculate this is to plot a fairly simple graph, each with the rate of Gman's and FMS's post count on. Because I'm a dumb fuck and don't know how to use microsoft excel, I would have had to plot this graph on paper, and no matter how bored I am at this very time, I really can't be bothered to go ahead with that. So instead I have had to find out an alternate method to calculate this.
The final way I have decided to stick with is also fairly simple. All we do is take Gman's post count, and subtract FMS's post count. This sum is:-
10,115- 9,650= 465 posts
Now we must subtract gman's daily post count from FMS's daily post count. this will give us the difference of their daily posts, allowing us to accurately figure out how long it will take FMS to regain power over the boards. This sum is:-
28.5- 17.6= 10.9 daily posts
Now all we need to do to figure out how many approximate days need to be awaited is to divide the total difference of posts by the difference in daily post counts. This sum is:-
465/10.9= 42.661 days (3dp)
Now, this figure is rounded up to give us 43 days. However, their daily post count is only an approximate value, so this may be too long, or too short.
Yet, 43 days on from now is January 6th 2006
So, at the present moment in time, Gman will still be top poster come christmas. I know some geek fuck will outsmart me with a simple equation or something, but I don't give a shit. I've been incredibly bored as it is to do this, yet I have hoped I have helped your day get along. I'm sorry Gman, I know you have just sold the forums to WEAK and all, but hopefully this will give you enough time to prepare. Funk Master Steven's unholy rule over these forums is coming.
