Can't really be bothered to read, as I know the specifications of the 360, the proposed price, the differences, and MS's bold marketing scheme. It CAN'T fail, and the 2 consoles are so different.

Idont think the DC was a flop really. I know many people who own it... and even still use it.
But yeah Sega as we knew them did end after it....
I dont think it will be a flop at all. Even if its not as good as the PS2 it dont matter much as they will have games taht will sell it on there own (Same as PS2) and one thing that I love about the 260 is that it can fully link to your home PC.

interesting I think it will flop but I am a hard ps fan, are the controllers going to be pretty much the same on the ps3?

Comparing the too doesn't really does it.. but yeah I dont think the XBOX360 will be populair.
Of course the graphics and all look awesome, but we are HUMAN BEINGS and we're curious.. curious of what comes next.. what will Sony do, what will Nintendo do.. people expect to see something better than the XBOX360 in the near future, but they have no idea what it will be.. yet they won't buy the 360 right now. They will either buy it once Sony and Nintendo have launched their new console (and they seem to suck), or they (of course) won't buy it because Sony/ Nintendos console is better. Cons of this, Xbox will make less profit from this problem since the price will probably drop within a year.
Voila.

Why do people like PS2? Gameplay, regarding graphics is often bad, the actual ROM readers are so poorly manufactured, the PS2 itself is of bad design and poorly constructed. PS2 has a lot of good games, but if Xbox had all those games, it'd be 100 times better.
I honestly hate Playstation.

I like ps2 because its something I've known... since Playstation came out... Nothing about the Ps2 has changed, it's all something everyone can handle, and they offer SO many more titles game-wise than Xbox does. I just see it being a better system, and bill gates can shove it in his asshole.

Playstation is successfull because they fulfuilled a niche market at the right time. They may have the best, and most games..but they sure do not have the best console. In terms of console, the DC was faaaar better than the PS2.

Wireless Cont.- $50
Wired Cont.- $40
Face Plate- $20
Memory Card- $30
Basic Xbox- $299 --- Can't play regular Xbox games and no hard drive
Upgraded xbox- $399 --- Can play regular and has hard drive

yeah but man... Kids dont think "Ill not buy this because the CD drive sucks and they have not put much thought into what counts"
they think "OMG GTA is going to be on here... I want to kill a cop"
the truth is... it dont matter much what the they have inside... if it has the games and it can be worked by retarded chavs it will sell.
People are used to the PS controler and they dont like change... This is why I think the PS2 will not fail. And the XBOX will not fail because of games like HALO and the fact itwill be able to be hacked with shit loads of soft MODS like the old one.
