Dude, why do you want to be a mod so fucking bad... I don't think we need another mod for a while... especially because we have, 1 gaming mod, and 5 s-mods, I don't think there is reason for anymore... Unless Gman makes a sweet Media section for Music and TV and Movies and stuff

Ok lemme be serious;

Current mods, do a decent job of making sure proper spam is kept to a minimum, with these forums constantly growing, spam ias inevitable and unfortunately for some of the "older time" members who dislike new people coming, well I'm afraid that we can't ban people like you want us to, or HGF would be empty. The sign of a forum growing, is usually when people start not getting on, so I'm afraid you're gonna lump it.

Couple of additional comments:

* Craig, when have BTD last contributed to video releases (properly) your posts, and activity arn't a decent reflection for modship, neither is your "ban" attitide.

* Ben, I'd choose a few people before I chose you, infact FMS is pretty high on the list and would probably be mod now if he spelt correctly and took time to structure his sentences, the day he does that he'll be mod.

And finally, you have located in your profile an option to ignore members you dislike, not liking people doesn't constitute as an acceptable opinion to me, for not creating new content.

Additionally, the only reason HGF has become what it is today, considering the minority of the homegrown population, and considering the majority of people whom do not even know it exists, is damn hard work on the admins and the mods part, this is the ONLY reason that homegrown still exists, is because this forum still bases homegrown around its theme and tries to add interest to it. Couple of reasons why the HG sections are a little lazy lately is because of the apathy of most HG teams, and of course it's hard to film in winter. In my (nearly 2 years) of running this place, I've found HG goes in waves, and that's the way it'll always be. It's a hard subject, as in t he winter people don't film, and in the summer people don't tend to be on their computers, the time in-between is when we get most active.

Go to the homegrown section then, and make clips more reguarly. What do you expect us to do? Talk about homegrown 24/7? Sorry man, but that's my idea of tainting a subject. When you talk about something too often it becomes a chore. I enjoy watching stunts, skits, I enjoy helping people with their websites..that's all HG is, the rest is what the rest of the forums are for (general chat).

So, if you wish...go make 200 HG topics, I'm sure you'll get some very imteresting and maybe some controversial replies. Don't expect things to change, when everyone who wants change is looking for modification in everyone else.

P.S. Gaiz, since when was being a mod such a great thing? Sure you may have some shiny badge next to your name...but it's just work and power that a mod whom gets selected doesn't often get to use. Mods are for clearing out garbage and giving users warnings, and maybe suspending members if they get outta control. Admins decide who gets banned after their warnings have reached a certain level. Not that fun, trust me. Notice the way I am more member, than asshole admin? Power is a novelty, and all novelty's wear off, use too much power and destroy your creation. I've learnt so much adminning this place.

Maybe so, but just because 2 members preffered X, doesn't mean I'll ban 10 members or so to please them. I ride on majority, and as previously mentioned you have the ability to block posters you dislike from your forum view.

Well, I just think that there needs to be a place for all the topics about music (except louzy hero's lfd shit) and talk about movies, there's always a lot, and it's not always related to HG... I'm just stating that there should be a place for it other than General Chat. And I too, don't see another mod necessary, but it is your choice.

Sure thing, general chat used to cover most "other" topics, but I realise with expansion you have to add additional fields. I'll work on it on the weekend.

I would give this place a spring clean also, but fact of the matter that now I'm working 40 hours a week, and my dad died 3 weeks ago...I just havn't got the time or patience. So maybe over christmas I can arrange something.

Everything is fine here, we could maybe use 1 more MOD but that's about it, a good member to someone who's post are not always like 'k' or 'cool'.

I dont see why the big fuss is about being a MOD.... Not much changes.... When I was admin here nothing changed... I did not even notice I lost the admin power for months Might be why I lost it

I rarely use my Admin power.

I think the only things I've done were:

-Ban a few spammers
-Make Adem a mod
-Create one of the sections, but I can't remember which one it was.
-changed member's names when they've asked.

It's really not as great as people think it is and if you're one of those people who would go on a banning spree, it's obvious why you aren't given any power.
