20 November 2005, 09:32 UTC#7
The career mode on THUG is really good. I suggest you try that!
20 November 2005, 14:39 UTC#8
They've gone shit. It's unbeliavably unrealistic, I mean they hop on the board and after a few seconds they race like 60 kph on the board

Well if you have ever played thrasher for the ps1 you'll know how a skateboard game should be, I'm tired of the arcady feel of tony hawk I want to start off sucking and build up my skills, I want to feel it as an acomplishment if I kickflip down a 10 set or a cool gap. Thrasher please make a new game!!!
20 November 2005, 16:28 UTC#11
I loved THUG, it was one of the only games apart from FFs taht I played on the PS2. I know its not real... but so what its a great game. But its old now....
20 November 2005, 16:31 UTC#12
Thrasher was and I rekon still is the best concept for a skating game, the way you can't do a load of stupid shit appeals to me, with thrashers game play and thug's story modes could have a class game.

I hear that new new tony hawk is awsome cause it's more like that
my buddy (who skates everyday, from the time he gets out of school till it's to dark to see outside) says it's alot more realistic

Somewhat, I am playing it now. They tweaked the engine and made the gameplay smoother but it's still unrealistic....
20 November 2005, 19:36 UTC#15
man I want that game bad

Think of a little gta mixed with tony hawk and you get the idea.
I love the bmx physics

20 November 2005, 20:31 UTC#17
man thrasher, I LOVED that game, if that game was agirl I would bone it hard, as it happens I snapped my disk while trying to do that one drunken night, someone send me there old copy!!
20 November 2005, 20:43 UTC#18
I didnt like thug2, the tricks look better and boned ollies are cool, if you want it realistic just dont bonless ollies and put your stats to zero, thats what I do anyways, I took it back.
They basically changed from a bamtard game to try and remake their immage by making it overly punky and yeh... didn't enjoy it much, the hardflips look lush though.

yeah, thrasher was a very fun game. I use to have it but the top protective thing peeled off and it wouldn't play music right and then I'd have to turn it off a bunch before it would work again.
I liked the new tony hawk, but I thought the story was really short, after I beat it I was like.. that's it? I really liked the BMX idea tho, they made it realistic. they're getting closer to a thrasher remake.
22 November 2005, 02:19 UTC#23
Yeah I agree, THAW was really good. Best one since Tony Hawk 4 IMO.
22 November 2005, 07:39 UTC#24
I havent played THAW yet. Is it worth getting?
