I've only ever had my one hotmail account and had it for nearly 6 years, has been fine for what I need.

gmail is so good because it runs smoothly, no ads or bullshit. Huge space no spam etc.

It's good if you're an avid ebay user such as myself. Tons of space for archiving emails (over 2 gigs), and a simple but well organized layout.

I love Gmail. I switched about a month ago cos of the hreat SPAM guard it has. Also it loads real quick (Less images and less crap). I used to use hotmail and my own mail.
I think Gmail has some great things like the way it uses replys by having only ONE link instead of links for all replys. Makes it much more easy to keep track. Also it has a cool e-mail tool so you know when ya get e-mails.
And if you use RSS feeds then you can set it up with that.
