Has anyone ever had to be nil by mouth before? I can't eat till about 5pm today because I've got an operation and it's killing me already, can anyone give me any tips as to how to make it better?

Me and grant (other guy from WKH) used to work in a hospital, and loads of ppl was nil by mouth.... and we nealy killed loads of them by feeding them and giving them tea with thickener!

As long as no one notices you eatin I think you're fine, im pretty sure they only say you cant eat because if you chuck up from the anaestetic you'll choke on your food.
