Doom Movie

So I went to the movies and sore DOOM. As a movie of 2005 I thought it was great but as a game to movie conversion I thought it need alot of work.

The ending needed alot of work. Why did it have a wrestling match instead of a nice gaint boss type fight. Why didn't the rock turn into a cyber deamon or something.

I thought there could of been alot more type of monsters like in the game.

But as a new movie I thought it was great. The FPS part of the movie was the most unique thing I have seen and made it a very interesting movie of 2005. I just felt alittle left out being a orgnial doom fan. I did think the new one DOOM3 sucked though.

I then downloaded the movie and thought that it will do. I don't think I will buy it when I comes out for my downloaded copy will do.

Well, lets see.... Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson... and a wrestling match in the movie in which he plays the lead role... it's not THAT hard to figure out Scott.

Personally, I haven't seen the movie, and really don't have any desire to. Except for the FPV, I think that would be very interesting. But, as most of us should know by now, they can't make a good game into a movie. It's almost impossible to please the fans. There are FEW games that make good movies. Like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil, even though R.E didn't hold up as much as most expected it still made for a good game to movie. And I really dont see the Doom as making a difference here.

I was going to last night but I couldn't convince anyone to go to see it with me so we went to see A History Of Violence instead.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be crap, but I still gotta see it having played all the games so much and all. I don't expect anything from it like I didn't expect anything from AVP either (that movie sucked though), so I don't know, I'll like it or then I won't.

And yes, I was really disappointed when DOOM3 came out. Not saying that it was a bad game, it was just so different from the legendaric Doom I&II

Ummmm no I don't agree with that. Just cause he is a wrestler dose not mean he HAS to wrestle in the movie. He could of just turned into a moster and had a huge as fight with rockets and shit like that. Like in a Doom 1 I just thought it was a let down thats all.

I have not seen it yet, but Vince was telling me it aint as good as it could have been.

I heard it sucked. My friends went and saw it and left half way through and said it was boring, so I dunno..

I don't agree either, but people think, "OMG!!! We got The Rock!!! We HAVE to utilize his wrestling ability in this movie. What do you mean we can't fit a wrestling scene into Blue's Clue's!?!?!? Just shut up and write it in." so I mean, people, are just plain stupid when it comes to using a wrestler to fill the spot of an actor. They know they can act to a certain extent, but they always know wrestling is what they do best, so they have to spotlight something to draw away from the horrible acting.

After seeing DOOM I wanted to pee in a cup and poor it on my head.

I'm not saying he's a bad actor, I'm just saying that he's a much better actor in an 18sq ft ring. I never really have liked watching movies with wrestlers in them, they all turn out to have something concerning the wrester, and not the actor he is trying to be.

Haha, the only reason I stopped changing channels to watch wrestling the other day, was because I saw Jeff Hardy, whom I loved when I was addicted to wrestling. But anyways, The Mummy movies with him in them were good, but I'm not slamming on him personally, but, I just can't stand how Hollywood has to put a wrestler in a film, and them make them fight, or wrestler or just do something that highlights them and says, "Hey, I wrestle for a profession"

I saw a trailer for this the other night, looked really shoddy. Cheesy

I was pretty drunk when I saw it, I just remembering saying how much it sucked and how the rock is lame.

I watched it a couple of nights ago and feel let down. some good scene tho, mostly boring.

Yes dude 100% agree with that. I am sick of watching a brand new movie and seeing it almost 90% CGI like the new star wars movies and shit. Why cant we have good old movies like Gremlins or Labyrinth they were great. All puppets and some CGI. Now they decided well we can make CGI look real..... NO THEY CAN"T it looks so bad its not funny.

For the ppl saying the rock sucked as a actor. I thought he was great in this moive. I just thought he didn't need to "wrestle" at the end of the movie thats all. I wanted a "Boss" type ending. You know like a game say the rocked turned into the spider deamon or cyber deamon. Or even a hell night or something. Nope it was just to man wrestling and the end.

I saw it..it was OK..if the first eprsin part was in 3d and had movable chairs..it would have been amazing

The Scorpian King didn't. That movie was puuurty cool.

The only good heavily CG'ed film I've seen is Casshern. It was filmed almost entirely on a blue backdrop kinda like Sin City.

But Rock has had more movies..
