Just saw the movie. It was great. It gave me chills...
I'm in ROTC right now, I have a friend in the Marine Corps and another friend in bootcamp.

Not that I care to read your review, but if youre going to make a thread about a movie, you need to explain what the movie is about, post a synopsis, link to a trailer, and conclude with your own personal review. Otherwise youre just wasting peoples time..and you do that enough as it is.

I think that was a good movie review, it said I should see it, thats all I really want to know. I hate it when people post shit about their opinion like anyone cares

But for the fuck of it I'll try.
Anthony Swoffer, the guy who wrote the story, is the main character. He wrote the story based on his experience. Desert Storm.
"Swoff"(Jake something) joins because he had nowhere else to go. His father was a former marine.
He goes through bootcamp, gets invited to become a Scout Sniper by Staff Sergeant Siek (Jamie Foxx). They go through some MAJOR training, and Swoff is basically a perfect shot.
They go out to iraq, where desert storm starts.
This is where I can't explain it without killing the story.

Basic training for those soldiers lasted longer than the war did. Desert Storm was over in 42 days. The movie is about how the soldiers were trained to be killing machines but they never got to kill anything at all. They never got to let out what they were trained to do.
Thats what the movie is about. I havent seen it but I read a review, and I post this here because the trailers are very misleading and I'd hate to see fellow members blow $10 thinking theyre going to see a Rambo remix. This is war movie, minus all the killing.
But yes, looks good.

Looks sweet. I like this kind of film - where the soldiers have to make an on-screen presence without actually killing anyone.
