while I was in Minneapolis, MN (for you americans that don't know geography.. it's at the top of the US) I went to Mall of America. While I was there... I went to Camp Snoopy... the theme park in the mall. I started playing some game and chatting up this normal american guy and I said I was from Thunder Bay. Now just to let you know.. Thunder Bay is a 6 hour drive from Mineapolis and Canada is a 4 hour drive. First off this guy thought Canada was a state... second he's never heard of Ontario... and Thunder Bay?... that must be a scary place. One good thing is he was so AMAZED by our Loonie (one dollar coin)... he kept taking that to play games. (one dollar canadian is only about 70 cents american)
Anyways.. thats just one example of MANY where it's not really that americans are clueless.... they just don't care of anyone else around them. Geography is not a key priority. Now bombing random countries... they're EXPERTS.
