Does anyone have an info on this camera and how well it films? My friends dad has one and is willing to sell me it for 70 bucks. Another thing is I film skating more then stunts or skits so I need a good camera for skating.

^ That pic ain't showing up, but if it's the camera I get when I search for it on google images, buy it. Looks a lot like the vx1000 / 2000 aka the camera almost all skate videos are made with. Get a death lens too.

I looked it up on google. it's definently an older camera but has some of the same features as a VX cam these days. I think it's worth 70 bucks for sure.

a VX3 was Sony's main attempt at creating a prosumer Hi8 camera. Its the only 3ccd Hi8 camera that I know of, and was made well before the MiniDv vx1000 came around.

You'll find little information about these camera on the net. The most info you'll find on them is on eBay, which is probally the only place on the net that'll youll ever be able to purchase one. I think because of that, it would be nice to own one. Not that it would be worth all kinds of money as antique, but a 3ccd Hi8 camera is just awesome, and Id get it because of that alone. But the fact that its only $70, Id say youre a fucking idiot not to buy iy, assuming that it works.

The cam will be useless to you in terms of non-linear editing if you dont know how to digitize your footage. If you pass this offer up Id like to buy it. Is it NTSC or PAL?

yes invest 150 or 200 bucks so you can convert it to your computer and well, you'd have a very cheap cam for just 250 bucks then :)

For $70, why would you even need to think about buying it?

You can't even get a decent camera for $70, and that one looks awesome.

Dude, if you don't get that..Give me the address where I can mail $70. I want that camera!

I wouldn't buy it for filming just because its Hi8 and it'd be a hassle to capture footage. Put it on eBay for more than you paid for it.
